Merry Christmas/ get to work GAW

Thanks for the opportunity.

This is Baxter the Ragdoll. He is 14. He came into my life at 8 weeks and then I hated cats. Turns out Baxter is more like a dog!!

Cool Idea...thanks for letting us in on it.
My entry is for our Golden Retriever named Lacy...I swear this dog is as human as a dog can be...She sits upright in any chair she sees..and lately she acquired a pillow somehow and is carrying it around the yard..so she can lay on it wherever she decides to stop for a rest..totally cracks me up.
Oh yeah..she loves to give our cat a hard time...never mean to it just "picks"...here's an example..we gave Lacy some meat scraps the other night and she ate all but one little piece of fat and got in her dog house...the cat shows up a few minutes later and Lacy hears her outside the doghouse moving the paper plate with her paw so she could lick the last morsel...Lacy politely gets out of her house..just to kindly reach her head around the cat, and eat the last little piece...then gets back in the house...the cat was like.."Really??"...

Pce, and Merry Christmas!

Happy Holidays to all! Great fun to see all the pet-loving posts here - thanks for the thread, Mykel! ...and the Hawks done went and done it again!

Thanks for the doing the GAW Mykel. I enjoyed seeing all the critters! It is remarkable how diverse and yet how much the same all of the JK forum folks are.

Congrats Peter, This might make you feel better after tomorrow nights letdown!
( Peter is my playoff semifinal JK FFL Fantasy Football opponent and we are in a very close match that MNF will decide)

Thanks BJ, I'm sure it would, but it'll have to just be the icing on the victory instead ;)

No entry here.

No pets here anymore. We had dwarf frogs, and fish (rental). We want to get a dog (I want an Airdale), but rent a house my parents own, and no dogs until we can buy it.

Great giveaway. That will be a neat prize for some one.

Congrats on the new job. Not much is more stressful than needing a job and not having one!

Good win Peter - congratulations.

Thanks Mykel for a great and interesting thread. Enjoyed the photos and stories of our JK menagerie.

Congrats to winner and Thanks for the great GAW Mykel! Can't believe more people didn't get in this one. Wolfmann my cat Eclipsa is the same breed of cat as Baxter. Any idea what breed he is? Was thinking either siberian or Baliense.

Awesome pets - I enjoyed reading everyone's pet stories.

Thanks for the nice giveaway Mykel - you have always been a very generous person.

I did not enter because I had won a beautiful knife from Mykel in a previous contest.

I enjoyed the pet pictures though!

best

Congrats on the new job. Kinda hits home with me. I spoke with a foreman for a tree service today on my way home from the convenience store and gave him my information. So who knows. Hopefully a new job for me as well. No dog ~ but I do have a pet dove. Loves to snuggly up to anything warm and fuzzy. Has the metabolism of a humming bird. Loves peas. Can't fetch or go for walks. Defecates OFTEN.

Camera shy and sitting on eggs, so I best leave her in her cage. Name is Curra.

An over look deck on the trail. I see people fly fishing here rarely.

The second overlook deck three months ago, mid-summer. Very beautiful.

Thanks Zemapeli, great pics.
I edited out the url codes on the ones that weren't showing so everyone could see 'em.
Curra's a pretty bird.
I like birds too and had a couple of parakeets for a while.
Little clowns they were, poop factories too, oh yeah.
I would take them camping and let them run around and have a good time.I even took 'em for hikes riding on my shoulder.(I kept their wings clipped so they couldn't get far when they got antsy)
They loved sitting in this one pine tree & chewing on the needles.
They even tried to make friends with the Camp Robbers(Grey Jays) that would show up for hand outs, but the Camp Robbers didn't want anything to do with them.Dang city birds.
After they died I buried them both on the hill top above my favorite camp.

Buddy(the grey)and Sky(blue) in their favorite tree.
I sure miss them birds.

Here's hoping you get the job and thanks for jogging my memory.:)

Late to the table, but I will leave my story up. I read some great stories in here, thanks for the laughs and heartfelt ones as well.

I have a Cane Corso (Italian mastiff) and when we would play she, as a puppy, would be spun around by me pushing on the side of her big block like head, spinning her to her right. Now, a couple of years, and about 90 lbs later, when we play and rough house about, she will randomly spin, always to her right.

The misses doesn't like it much since she now knocks over end tables and lamps and such, but it is always good for a laugh!

Thanks for the jog down memory lane, I have to go, I hear a dog barking my name!
