MI Spring Gathering

This sounds like its gonna be a lot of fun! Wish I lived closer I'd sure like to meet all you guys.
 
Anyone up for a sell & swap meet? I hate being the only one who brings anything, so if no, I won`t bring anything either.

hey Jeff. so, how much will we owe you for the campground for Fri and Sat nights? i'm assuming it's not free. forgive me for having to ask, but the gathering will only be one check removed from vacation. it is going to be tight, but i still think it may be doable.

my biggest concern was family time on easter. my woman does have her daughter for easter this year, but she doesn't seem to mind if i go. we'll see.
 
I'll be covering the cabin rental. You MAY have to purchase an $11 park sticker, but they haven't bothered with us in the past.

We usually decide what to bring about two weeks before, but I always bring some sort of sausage for lunch for the group. I`ll let the rest of you guys decide on the other meals. One more thing, I hope someone remembers to bring a knife, there always seems to be a shortage of them. ;)
 
Looks like the Ultralite Hunter will be there, along with a CBK EDC for you guys to fondle (warning - you will all want one!)
 
starting to check out todds suggestion and look at cheap rentals....Oooo, :eek:chevy spark:eek: :D

anyway, now it's just me coming up and not the fmaily I may come up Saturday, no need to spend an extra night away in a hotel by myself, right?

also been checking out the route....I may have to call you all and let you know that I'm not coming because I've gotten stuck in Cincinnati bad enough i now have to live there :(

i checked hotwire just today for car rentals and it is $16/day. not bad. but, i still haven't decided if i am going to do that or chance my rig. my ins company will insure me in a rental, but based on the coverage i have, if i total it (or if it's stolen), they will only cover the current value of the car; however, the rental agency will want replacement value (i.e. new car). so, there is a gap. i really don't want to add an extra $30/day for ins (or whatever it will cost). still mulling it over.

the good news is that i think i have officially been given the "all clear" from the missus.

i am going to try to get there for both Fri and Sat nights. it is about a 12 hour drive. i am going to take Friday off and may just drive straight through. i will play that by ear. but, the way i figure, if i am making the journey, i might as well get two days to hang.
