MI Spring Gathering

Guess I better get a move on, I normally leave everything to the last minute but think I might try and book the car early for a change :)
 
I have been travelling like crazy and finally got a chance to read through this thread. Fortunately Sean has kept me in the loop through texts. This sounds like the makings of another great time!! I am looking forward to starting this up on Friday night. I'll make sure to bring a fire extinguisher just in case there is any late night fire diving. See you all there on Friday!

hey guys. i am not sure who is bringing what for knives...and who has what for knives. i wasn't kidding when i said i am bringing all of what i have. in fact, the preferred route listed in google maps takes me to MI through canada. but since i am traveling with a bag full of knives, i figured maybe i would be better off sticking to the states. :rolleyes:

anyway...that's off topic. what i wanted to know is if anyone had any folders they really like. i gave away the endura (that sean gave me for Christmas) to my brother. i liked that knife, but my brother needed it and doesn't really have the means to get one himself. so, i am looking for a new one.

i have been looking at various Spydie's (PM2, gayle bradley, stretch, sage 1/2, etc...or i may just get another endura or delica), a benchmade griptillian and been eyeing the ZT560, but that may be out of my price range. so, if anyone has one of these, i would love to handle it. Or, if you have one that you really like, i would like to check that out too.

I don't have many production folders, todd, and no more griptillians though i liked them. but I'll bring what i have, I'm sure when you find out some of what you like and don't like one o us 'll come up with a good suggestion or two anyway :)

I am sure we will tell the fire diving story to anyone who attends the gathering. It's certainly a fun story. We will have a few (to literally 100's) of knives to check out and possibly trade. That's part of the good time. I look forward to meeting and hanging out with a few new people. This is a great group of guys and a few more great people are always welcome. No matter what the weather etc. we always have some fun and learn from each other.
 
The extended weather forcast shows Friday partly sunny 45/31 and Saturday cloudy 46/34. Sunday has a 30% chance of snow.

I looked at the weather app on my phone and it was predicting apple pie shots by Saturday afternoon with the evening turning somewhat rummy and possibilities of JD flurries overnight. Uncle Bill also checked the moon phase and it looks like it will be full and hairy?
 
Two bottles of apple pie shots were delivered to my door yesterday. I`m resisting temptation.......
