Hi friends.
A simple knife, which I personally like. This is not always the case with other knives users. :)
Blade – 140 lairs damascus. For cutting age is laminated 52100 steel. Zone hardened.
The handle is made of impregnated poplar, treated with hot steam under high pressure. /On the upper side./
From the bottom side I put white mahogany. Spacers are Brazilian IPE, copper and white fiber. The guard is also copper.

All comments are welcome. Thank you.

Probably it happened to some of you. You are planning one, but gets something different. Here is a similar case.
A kind of tanto. The blade is forged of 15N20, C70 and Silversteel. 42 lairs. Zone hardened.
Handle and scabbard - impregnated poplar, treated with hot steam under high pressure and corian. Inlays – silver and mother of pearl.
Enjoy.

Hello to all of you.

This is “The Swank”.
Winter comes, you have not forgotten, right? And it is not easy to stop those walking dead who come across the shaft. Well, it becomes easier with this one. There is very, very nasty magic woven between the Damascus layers. Be careful not to cut your finger. :)

Blade is forged in 240 lairs soft damascus. For cutting age I have laminated Silver steel /1.2210/. Zone hardened. 230 х 30 x 5mm.

Handle is made of ebony. Guard and pommel – engraved bronze and copper.
Scabbard – walnut /blackened/. Inlays - bronze and copper.

One more bowie like.
Actually, I found it under this ice, but a gypsy fortune-teller told me something about it. :D
And what she told is:
172 lairs soft damascus. Between them 52100 steel. Zone hardened.
Handle – bull horn, corian and acacia.
Guard and pommel – etched steel with bronze inlays. Separators – bronze and fiber.

It was everything from gypsy and what I say is:
All comments are welcome. Thank you.

Thank you, Blackdirt cowboy. Most probably about the middle of the month.

Hi, people.
It's a little joke with a friend. “The Dragon”.
Blade - 154 х 30 x 4mm. made of D2 /1.2379. Zone hardened and etched.
Handle - Impregnated rotten poplar, with accents of white polymer.

On this side of the blade dragon is peering into your nightmares.

And here is all that remains after him.

P.S. I am slightly puzzled………. Or maybe not so slightly. :)
More than 2,000 people have been here to keep an eye, and only a dozen of them have said: "Hello, how are you I was glad to talk about…"
Obviously at some point, somewhere I have made a mistake. Worst thing is that I cannot guess exactly where. So, would you help me, please?
And if public response for some reason is not suitable, you can write it here: mik@mk-jewel.com

Let me offer an analogy if you will...

If a great chef prepares his signature dish for me, then I know when I taste it I am experiencing something excellent. It is not my place to say "too much pepper".

You sir, are that chef. Wonderful pieces unlike others I've seen. Thank you very much for sharing.

Texas Wade, it would be very comfortable for me… but I know very well exactly where on the ladder is my place. And it is far from the top. It is not false modesty. Just too good I am familiar with the work of some Russian, Scandinavian and American counterparts. Some of them are really amazing in a way that I will never reach.
Anyway, thank you for the kind words. In some winter days something like this is more needed den coat.

These are all very beautiful. To name just a couple, I especially like the handle on the Middle Earth fantasy dagger, and the images on the two sides of The Dragon blade. I also like how you sometimes match the inlay on the handle to the pattern on the blade. Please keep posting more pictures of your knives!

Thank you Ted01. I will try.

Tonight I thought to show you something else, but a knife just got ready, so let be it. This is a gift for the boss of a good friend of mine. Can you imagine how good it must be to deserve such a thing? :D
The last five days, we both worked, mostly in the nighttime. Finally we get this:
I forgot to measure the blade. Somewhere between 14 and 15 cm. length. 214 lairs forged of 52100, C70 and strips of band saw.
The handle is black and striped ebony.
Dividers - Corian and bronze.
The most interesting thing for me is the holder. Often bring after fishing trips, pieces of wood like this here. Well, one of them became useful.
So, enjoy.

Enough to be only two letters, don’t you think? So here is my life in a few photos.

My two working places.

“Little” bear like - Cali. Friend of mine, sins She was born. In fact it happened in the year when I started forging.

Part of my humble garden. Everything in it is built on my project and with my two hands - a wonderful way to relax. After I broke a femur skiing, for example, my rehabilitation was building of the lake and bridge over it.

A little garden work. :)

Another way to rest.

And this is the river that flows near the forge of the Dwarf. Right here on my left and slightly up the hill ... But about that dwarf you will hear some more in a few days.
:D

And if I try to be a little more serious… but only little:
I am a member of Creative Fond of Bulgarian Union of Artists and as well
of Fellowship of Masters of Country Art Crafts.
My education is woodcarving.
For living I make silver jewelry and for pure pleasure – sharp objects.
Shaking your hands, nice to meet you.
Michael.
:D
