What???That's a pretty handsome knifed. I would say that $325 is a fair price for what they generally go for. If the local guy gets one after i recover from the holidays, that may be my first Microtech purchase of 2022.
I'm reasonably certain a USA-made version of the new Rike-made Bravo, with the same materials and milling, would cost more than the Socom Elite. The American made Socom Elites are under $300. Why would a Chinese version cost MORE?
As I understood it, The idea was to be a more affordable and available option. They're pissing down our backs and telling us it's rain.I'm reasonably certain a USA-made version of the new Rike-made Bravo, with the same materials and milling, would cost more than the Socom Elite.
American made are barely under 300 or a bit more depending on finish. This one does have more premium materials, more like the customs it’s based on. I’m sure they’ll sell well at $325, regardless of how some of us may feel. What???

This is a bad joke and it's not even funny.

I certainly won’t be buying one myself, happy with my beat up plain Jane USA made socom eliteYeah I get it....I'm admittedly a grumpy purist.
I just don't understand the appeal. Just because it technically has more detailed milling and extra parts doesn't make it a better knife. Or more attractive or interesting.
Well usually more detailed milling and extra bits do make knives more attractive...Just because it technically has more detailed milling and extra parts doesn't make it a better knife. Or more attractive or interesting.
Cough...Richmade...cough...Heeter...Well usually more detailed milling and extra bits do make knives more attractive...
Lol well of course not all the time. But those knives are also butt ugly to start with. The only thing that makes them better looking is a blindfold.Cough...Richmade...cough...Heeter...![]()
Absolutely not. A nice clean design is far more attractive than a bunch of extraneous milling and "extra bits".Well usually more detailed milling and extra bits do make knives more attractive...
Well see, that's your opinion. I like some extra milling for grip and aesthetic reasons, as long as it's done tastefully, and so do other people.Absolutely not. A nice clean design is far more attractive than a bunch of extraneous milling and "extra bits".
And of course, NOT outsourcing to PRC would be the most attractive...
Me too!! However, in some cases PJ’s are nicer.Well see, that's your opinion. I like some extra milling for grip and aesthetic reasons, as long as it's done tastefully, and so do other people.
