Microtech Rike Socom Bravo

Anyway, glossing over the "hilarious" likelihood of substance abuse of those less fortunate and destitute this holiday season, the more I look at this knife, the more I am into it. I'm not generally a big fan of fluff, but the jimping and cut outs really seem to be in all the right places. I watched the teaser vid on youtube, and I really dig the blue spacer option. I think I may be down for the clip point version, but honestly, I really like how MT does their tantos as well. Honestly, I would be tickled with any of them.

All around, this looks like a pretty solid knife. If I can get a $500 build quality for $350-ish like you usually get from high end Chinese manufacturers and be able to rely on a domestic company for warranty, I am 100% down for this this one.

That is an excellent question...most Chinese "collabs" get warranty coverage by the actual manufacturer from what I've seen posted.

At the risk of sounding like a rube, can someone post an actual picture or link to this knife? I don't have any social media accounts so please don't link to those unless it's a screenshot or something. I tried looking but nothing I've found is listed exactly like "Microtech Rike Socom Bravo" so I don't know what I'm looking for or at Their website has nothing like it under 'Collaborations' and the links in this thread aren't showing for me probably because of my browser settings, admittedly.

Google videos Mircotech Rike Bravo and you will find videos. At least I find about three.

Here’s another discussion on this:

Hmm, the picture in the first post from that thread showed up for me. Now at least I know what it looks like.

They are two videos on the first page of this thread. The one from my post should be Microtech's own video if I remember correctly.

I'm sure my settings are hiding them then. Again, at least now I know what I'm looking for/at. I'm not am early adopter of anything so I'll continue to wait and see how this all turns out. Maybe I'll get one. Until then, my SOCOM Elite Auto that I purchased from a fellow member will suffice.

Do you know why they are more expensive than the regular versions? Better materials or more machining?
The previous socom bravos were custom level knives and sold in the 1000+ range.

If you’re comparing it to the usual production socom, you’re getting features previously only seen on custom versions (bolstered subframe lock, cf scales, milled fuller on the blade) for a production price.
