You mean "enabler".Just ordered a Socom Elite manual with stonewashed tanto blade. Thanks to a buddy![]()
Good answer. I was looking at both and I may just get one of each.
Option C: the Socom Delta. I much prefer the G10 frame over aluminum, and I also much prefer tip up.

Good to hear. It’s a great looking knife.![]()
There's not much I don't like about my Socom Elite.
Nice. I’m excited to own my first Microtech.Did a little testing on my Socom Delta last night, including firmer spine hits than I am normally willing to do, and nary a bit of movement.![]()
Sounds like you got a good one then. Keep that one close.Did a little testing on my Socom Delta last night, including firmer spine hits than I am normally willing to do, and nary a bit of movement.![]()
I’m still a little intrigued by the auto. Curiosity more than anything. But after talking to some guys here , I’m definitely happy I chose the manual. It should be arriving at my house tomorrowI know you decided, but I'd vote manual. Side open autos are two hand closers, and a manual knife you can open one handed and close one handed.
For autos I just prefer OTF, otherwise, why?
There's a reason why I've collected so many Socoms and Socom Elites over the years. There's something special about Microtech's manual knives.I’m still a little intrigued by the auto. Thanx to you all and this thread, I just ordered one. Tanto auto. My BM Presidio has served me quite well, but I'm ready to move up I think. I hope it's as great I think it will be. As much as the Elite looks great, from a shear looks value, the Socom Delta is about the prettiest slickest folder I have seen in a while. I don't know what, if any practical differences there are between them.

Except for the socom Deltas made in aluminum, yes.G10 frame instead of aluminum, tip up configuration instead of tip down.
I thought he was asking the differences between the Socom Elite vs Socom Delta - my apologies if I was mistaken.Except for the socom Deltas made in aluminum, yes.
