On July 29th, kicken_bright contacted me about trading his Dereelight DBS flashlight for my Nitecore D20. We had a lot of communication, and I agreed to trade him the D20 +$40 for his DBS. We agreed to trade, and I sent out the D20 on July 30th. I forgot to include the $40, so I emailed him immediately asking if he wanted it in a separately envelope or by Paypal. I also sent the DC# in the same email. I got no response, and on Aug 2nd, he emailed me this:

Wow! I had already forgotten about this to be honest. It has been very crazy at work. I was supposed to be home today and I was going to ship the DBS, but now, it looks like I will be gone until Tuesday. If you need the light ASAP I could possibly have someone else ship the light for me, but I do not know if they would get the right pill with the right light. If you would, just hold onto the money until I can get the light shipped out. I am really sorry! :/ It has been a crazy week...

I told him it was okay and I would wait to send the $40 until he sent me the DC# (doesn't sound like he's screwing me if he's telling me not to send money). On Tuesday (Aug 4th), I asked if he sent the DBS out yet. No response... I emailed him earlier today and still got no response.

There is a decent chance he is very forgetful and doesn't understand the ins and outs of online trading yet, but there is also a chance he's screwing me. Has anyone else dealt with kicken_bright? He has been a member since last year and has a few post in the exchange forum.

Well, it's been a day since the last email I sent (5 days since his last reply). Where should I go from here?

He hasn’t been online since the 1st. On the other hand he has 5 posts and no feed back. I think I would have asked him to ship first.

That's the dumb thing (on my part), I always check feedback and do a few searches before I trade with new members (and usually senior members too). I don't know why I didn't this time, I guess it slipped my mind because he contacted me at work and I didn't have time to search BF.com.

Anyway, he emailed me today and said it was in the mail. I didn't get a tracking number, so we'll see about it. He'll have some feedback when this is all over so that other's don't go through the same thing...

Hope it works out for you.

Assuming you get your half of the trade we may be able to chalk it up to him simply having a very busy week.
