Is there anyone here who is owed money on a piece that Mike O. did not make it right?

Please post.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Yup. I paid for a piece that was supposedly ready to ship. Never got a thing. He offered to make things right, but haven't heard from him in many months. He's had my money for almost a year-and-a-half.

Ok...here's the deal....Couple of years ago, I ordered a folder from Les Robertson, and Mike took a while to get the knife to me, as he was sending it directly....he sent me a neck knife as a gift, along with my folder, as an apology for lagging.

It is a 3 1/2" D2 blade, satin finish, with green/black G-10 handles and a kydex sheath....they are valued at $200.00....I was going to sell it, and send the money to Mike, but I figured to help a customer that got screwed instead.

If you are interested, PM me your shipping address and I will send you the knife.....It's the Holiday season soon, peace on earth...yada, yada, yada.

Wow! What a great gesture on your part. Who says you aren't warm and fuzzy? :D

I'll tell you what - I've got enough knives to last several lifetimes. In fact, I'll be thinning out the collection shortly. And there are so many folks out there who are in a bad way recently, so....

Why don't you go ahead and sell the knife and use the proceeds in whatever way you feel would do the most good for somebody less fortunate than we are. Maybe the Breast Cancer Research Foundation on the CKCA's behalf. Perhaps a local food bank or crisis assitance ministry to help out someone who has recently lost their job.

Or, if you really think that sending it to Mike would do some good, I'm not against that either - seriously. I'm not privy to Mike's situation as you seem to be. Yes, it still raises my blood pressure a little whenever I think about how our deal turned out, but as I told Mike in my last email to him, I've been down and (almost) out in the not-too-distant past. I know how it is, and it ain't no fun.

That's a very classy thing for you to do, and I really appreciate the offer.

Have reflected on this for a long time before putting this up.....it HAS to stay in the community, and Mike is out of the picture....so it must go to someone who has been screwed over by him.....it is a way to renew faith within the community.....charity to the GP it is not.....I am a Life Member of the NRA and PROTECT for those kinds of concerns.

Anyone else?

Very cool thread and offer Steven. I wonder if a giveaway thread in the General - Custom subforum or the Custom Exchange may get some more views? If other members are like me I rarely come to this forum unless doing a search on a member/maker. Just a suggestion.

Cheers,
Matt

Not sure if that would be the right place to post it, either, I'll refer to a Mod one of these days, if'n a taker cannot be located.

"Anyone else?"

Ya me ya sucker. ;)

Being able to call you a friend is a pleasure.

You could sell that knife on here, and help the whole community by giving the money to Spark for the new server fund.

If that person chooses to share, they may do so.

Mike, I will be donating to the server fund of course....within the next three weeks or so.
