That blue Mille is sick who's work is that.
That Military is most certainly very ill. Look at that tip up clip!![]()
Outstanding work though, it really looks great.
I don't know about brightness, but it sure showcases any dirt on it.
Orange loses it's brightness too quickly.
I'd like to see something in battleship grey.
WD-40 is your friend.
Dawn detergent and an old toothbrush! I found the WD-40 left a little residue that attracted dirt all over again.
I know this is an old thread but has there been any updates on the possibility of a Military 2?
I'd like to purchase a Military but will wait if the Military 2 will become a reality soon.
Dont hold your breath. Sal's latest update stated, that the Military 2 is still on paper and hasnt gotten any further as theyre busy with other projects.
Being a status quo kind of person, I am not real optimistic about a new Military. How can it be improved, really? For my part, the old Manix was way better than the new as well.
I understand the march toward "improvement". Thats how we got the awesome Delica 4. But the Military is about as good as it gets already. At least in my book.
There is one reason why I absolutely will not EVER buy the regular Military. Tip down only. The same goes for ANY knife that only offers tip down. The reason is that the absolute worst and deepest cut I've ever gotten was from carrying tip down. I know it's rare, I know that the Military has a better detent than what I was using at the time, but still. I sat down, didn't know the knife had somehow opened, and as I leaned forward to stand I felt a nice poke. Then my jeans got a nice blood stain on them. Never again.
If a Military 2 comes out and the only update is a tip up option, that's good enough for me. Hopefully they'll toss a larger lanyard loop on it, too, and maybe a more ambi-friendly lock or the compression lock.
Why is tip down more likely to open than tip down? Gravity implies the opposite is true.
That makes sense, thanksBecause with tip up, assuming you are carrying in a front pocket, the spine of the blade is up against the back seam of the pocket keeping it closed.
