I've posted before about foolishy trading a military and picking up a knife from a different company and regreting it. After a few months, I finally got the guy to trade me back as it was a FG military. Must to my surprised he decided he didn't like to steel cause it wasn't as stain resistant as he wanted it so I gladly traded him back. He already knew what FG Military was and how it was a special run, but he wanted something he could use. So I got it back and it felt damn good in the pocket to have that back after a little bit of flitz to polish it up. Yesterday I'm at work, and I go to reach for it just to admire how well it cuts, and I grab......nothing. Errr...what? I look threw all my pockets, jacket, my bag, nothing. I retrace my steps, wonder all around and I find nothing. I called people to see if they've seen it anywhere on route, and nothing. I have no idea what happened other then the clip caught on something and it poped out of my pocket. I've pretty much looked everywhere I could and still nothing. Getting silly enough where I'm looking at other people's pockets to see if I see a spyderco clip.

I chop the whole thing up as punishment for trading it to begin with and what grinds my gears the most is that someone probably has it and they're using it as a screw driver:barf:

Sorry to hear it .... I too lost one (my beloved D2 Para). I had mentioned to the wife just days before; this is one I WONT sell or trade, it's my perfect long term EDC. I'll pass it to my grandson.

It was gone! I literally searched for HOURS. At the office, garage, house, car, everywhere.

Now add the fact that they are limited and now (the day after I lost it) discontinued.

AHHH! The pressure!

I bought another one. I kid you not, the DAY I received the new one, my wife comes out of the bedroom and says, "why was your "big green knife" under my pillow?". DOH! I have no idea how it got there or how she slept there for days without noticing it, but there it is.

Yes, I know how bad it feels to lose one. Good luck to ya, hey, maybe it'll turn up.

I've edc'd a s90v millie for over a year now, and being a teen it often goes through some rough activities(ie: backyard football, parties, general being young) and my solution has been to keep a box weave lanyard that I tuck into the bottom of my pocket on my knife.
It adds just enough drag that I dont have to worry about it falling out, especially when I have something else in my pocket like keys, gum, or and ipod.

Its never good to lose a knife, especially if its one of your faves.:grumpy:

I hope it turns up somewhere in the next few days

..... or you might find it in the most obvious of places with your keys,
I hope its not defaced. You dont have balconies at your work do you ? :D

Nice, I'll have to remember that one when I want two of the same knife!

That wouldn't work for me. My girlfriend flops around so much at night, nothing on the bed is in the same place when we wake up. I think if I hid a knife under her pillow one of us would end up bleeding before morning.

That sucks i would miss my millie if i lost it i carry mine like this in my carhart overalls i love the large syderhole for this. The snap on the breast pocket closes nicely through the hole.

Your missing Military is in your car, to the right of the driver's seat, way down low, where the seat bolts to the floor. Get in the back seat, and look under the front seat.

Not a single sign of the military :(. I looked everywhere possible and then some. Someone must have picked it up. I just up they're treating her nice but I doubt it.

On a side note and to make up for my stupidly losing my military, I have a good friend who's brothers are both Marines and headed over to the middle east and she really didn't have the money to get them anything before their deployment. So I decided to pass on my CE manix and chinook. I have no idea what use they be over there as one is infantry and the other in mortar but they were both psyched, and felt they were "much better then those 200 knives for 50 bucks on the tv". At least over their they will have good tough knives. I lose a knife, 2 people find one. Seemed right to me.

How freaking cool is that? Well done man. If karma really does exist, you've got a lot of it coming your way.

IT may show up. I once misplaced a favorite folder for an entire year.. I stupidly put it in a boot the last day at deer hunting camp. I only wear those boots for hunting, and was pleasantly surprised when putting the boots on the following hunting season. After a year, I thought the knife was gone forever. There is always hope.

I lost my very first spyderco (SE SS AUS-6 Delica) for over a year once. I was heartbroken because, well, it was my first spydie. I found it when I moved, it was on top of the metal bar that ran under the seat of my bench press. No idea how it ended up there or how it didn't fall off with me lifting on it, but I was happy.

So it can still show up, don't lose hope!

I losta Sebenza a couple of years ago and just wanted to PUKE... I lost a Delica 4 the other day... bummer. Frickin River.
