Military down

Your missing Military is in your car, to the right of the driver's seat, way down low, where the seat bolts to the floor. Get in the back seat, and look under the front seat.

Sometimes they don't make it all the way to the floor and get hung up somewhere in the never never land of cushions, springs, plastic trim, and sheet metal. Bring a flashlight.

Losing stuff ALWAYS sucks. I sincerely hope you find it. I understand that just because you can buy a replacement doenst mean you can always buy a replacement.

Still looking but have't found anything yet.

I've always found that spyderco fits the needs. Sometimes you buy from different companies and it just doesn't feel right. Like its not what you wanted or needed. I haven't had that experience yet with spyderco. The few folders I've had from them have hit what I needed right on everytime. I know I passed on some of their top models, but didn't want them to think I didn't like them. I just passed on the best tools I had for 2 good guys that are smart enough to care for them. I don't have any spydercos(less I find the military. I hope!) but still a big fan of their products.

Everyone check their pockets to make sure your folder is still there, and thanks to spyderco for making knives that work. Nice to know that they will keep serving a couple of marines from a small town. A bit of comfort in that.

Hope you find your Spydie. That really blows.
If you end up having to buy another, make sure it's a Spyderco. :D

Have you looked behind the cushions of your favourite couch/chair? A buddy of mine lost a flashlight and it turned up there.

My D2 Millie stays at home. Gonna carry my D2 Para rather, when it gets here.

Still no luck yet. Looked in the couch, car seats, laundry, and even stupid places I might have set it at work. I have 0 spydercos right now and I don't know where to start as another d2 military isn't possible.

On the plus side those 2 boys are enjoying their new knives. One even cut himself already, surprised at how sharp they were.

Man, I know what you're going through.

I lost my first Native - a black-bladed SE - about a week after I got it. I looked EVERYWHERE, no luck. I was bummed for a week or so. I finally broke down and bought another one.

Of course, after I get the new one, I find the "old" one. My best guess is that I dropped it on the floor at some time and one of my cats decided it was a toy. I found it WAAAAY under my Laz-E-Boy rocker/recliner.

I now have 17 Spydercos (going on 21 - awaiting some arrivals). The solution - get enough Spydies so that you're never "Spydie-less" again! LOL!

Seriously though, Good Luck finding it again.

i got tired of clips catching doorjams, cardoors or whatever when you scoot too closely.
so i NEVER use pocket clips anymore. i always tie a big loop of 550 cord so i thread it up under my belt, then pass the knife through it and back down into my pocket. so when i pull it out of my pocket i have about 10 inches of play, and it is easy to unthread if you need to. there is NO WAY that this system can fail, unless your belt disintigrates!

I belive I've been cursed.

Believe it or not, military was found. It was rusted pretty good, including the edge but I got enough polishing paste and gun oil to make it right. It was found by a co-workers friend who was on his way to bring it back to me by a long shot(he called up his friend and asked if he knew what "spy-DERCO" was. He turned to me and asked "didn't I lose such a folder?" ). I was in shock. Didn't believe its been found. So we waited for the guy to show up and hours went by, and I really didn't think he would show up.

I was right.

My co-worker got a phone call from his mother that his friend has been in a car accident. He's okay, but with a broken arm. The car was destroyed though. Co-worker and I went to visit him in the hospital and he's banged up a bit along with the broken limb but fine. I'm glad he's okay and I truly apperciate him trying and being honest about finding the knife but thats just creepy to me. I get it back, lose it, find it and then lose it for good. I tried to order a basic endura 4 and the order section of the site bombed out on me. What the hell. I did however give my zt0200 to a very good friend of mine who reenlisted to the Marine Corps. A good family man with the same twisted humor as myself and he deserves it, though its not a spyderco. He knows knives and how to take care of them, and he did make me laugh by telling me he wasn't sure he wanted it given my sh#@ luck with knives.

So if you have a Spyderco you're unsure of selling, even a slight tingle, don't sell it...

Thats tough man. Im real glad the guy got out with only a broken limb and not something worse.

I hope you enjoy your replacement and your benefactor's recovery.

I gave up on clips years ago after losing some serious knives. I cannot keep a knife that I clip in pocket for more than a few months. I believe that going into the pocket after something else was my problem. When I retrieved what I was after like keys or $, I raked the knife off of my pocket and it was lost forever, mostly because I never go digging thru my pockets at home.

That said, I am going to go try the out the chest snaps on my Carrhart bibs right now. Best idea I have gotten from this forum. I may start carrying my nicer knives to work, think H1.

Hope you find your knife!!!!!!! I am still looking for a Dyad I lost at a bar!!
