Military Knife Forum?

You have attacked peoples' reaction to Nazi memorabilia.

You have called them "hysterical PC outbreaks," and have said "You have to read some of the comments supposedly from adults to believe them.", and that their reactions are a "PC kneejerk reflex," and dismissed their feelings as "ensuing 'bruhaha."

I am sorry you cannot understand their objection.

Again, enjoy your knives and discussion.

There's a fine line between recognizing the historical significance of a talisman from a genocide and celebrating or encouraging Nazi's or fans of the KKK......

I do not see how discussing the use, manufacture, authenticity, or value of any artifact constitutes celebrating or encouraging any behavior; other than promoting the value of the relic as an authentic article for collectors. Whatever it may have once symbolized, it is now just evidence of what happened and a reminder of what should never be allowed to happen again.

I understand your point, but dismissing people who feel differently (which you have not done), could turn the proposed forum into a dumpster fire.

No so.
-Ive objected to Political Correctness. You might be fine with PC but Im not.
-Ive not dismissed their feelings as 'ensuing bruhaha.' I objected to the 'bruhaha' and the screaming itself following the posting of a knife.
-There is no 'their' objecting in this thread. GronK quite rightly took me to task for my ''kneehugging foetal position' comment. I agreed that they were the wrong words and I rephrased my words. Yet you are still motoring on. You claim, that I called people irrational, which is an outright lie.
So, you are a lier and you are further more bang out of order. You stepped over the line with this one.
Wow, thats so not like you (post might contain sarcasm).

OK. You think peoples' reaction to Nazism is an "irrational emotional outburst."
As mentioned, utter nonsense and a lie. I object to people posting something dubious - like for example links to extreme right wing organisations and ditto slogans in sig lines.

Maybe it should be titled “ Non political discussion of military knives” or “ Just Military Knives no BS? Or maybe just don’t have one at all. I really didnt think it was an unreasonable idea as i just like knives. They are metal and they cut stuff. Some are artistic and others are functional.

Nothing unreasonable about your thread.

There use to be a Mil Knives subforum on Knifeforums before they shutdown, all kind of info and history about KA-BAR and Camillus MKII'S, Case and Camillus Mark 3's, etc., I use to spend quite a bit of time there reading just for that subforum.

Well if we've learned anything from the history of this subject is that the first cluster of posters is the new user who's first post is "what's this worth". We don't need to see more of those. Let's say that'll be about 70%. Regarding the other points most of those are well handled in the other spots for collecting.

To get a Military Knives sub I'd say start a thread in GKD on the subject and make it worth reading. When that thread has a solid following put a tag in Tech Support and ask for a move to a new sub.

Thank you.

In any event your all welcome to join me on the Ka Bar and Camillus forums anytime.
I warn you though it’s a little quiet there... :(
