Military owners

I have a transition model-its ATS-34 steel but has the three screw clip. Its PE. I got it a few years back but never carried or used it.Still in its box in the closet. I liked how flat it was in the pocket but its too big for EDC for me. Since the Para is smaller I'm very interested and am indifferent about blade markings.

kicking myself for trading S30VPE in a moment of weakness. Ive carried Sebbies & other high end blades but still find myself drawn back to Millie-cant wait for Paramillie

Serrated ATS34 Military........ still quite satisfied after 4 years of use. No immediate plans for a paramilitary.

SE ATS-34 for me. Worst cut I EVER got from a knife was from that thing. Just bought the new CF Police...toss up in my eyes...

I've got two.One is 440V,the other is ATS-34.Both full serrated.I never use these knives since I always carry my old style FRN Endura. No plans for buying a Para.tom.

Anybody have a link for where I can see it? How about a posted pic? Pleaaase? Sounds like a popular knife, but I still haven't seen it. I feel like I'm missing out.

Thanks,

Hows this

PE, 440V, "Military" logo cut into the blade lightly. Like the knife a lot, but have not carried or used it much. Am considering an S30V version perhaps in future, can't decide PE or SE.

Am planning on checking out a Para for sure. I'm not certain about the compression lock, however, as most compression lock models I've handled have pinched or felt uncomfortable for my hand. I also would like to find out as time passes how compression locks in general and the Para in particular holds up over time.

I have not liked any compession lock I have handled except for the one on the Para.It seemed to work very well.It did not pintch.

I have an old 440V PE version and a new S30V PE version. The new version is much better in all respects. So far, S30V is the best steel I have ever used; much better than CPM440V.

Thanks for posting the pics.

I think I'm going to want one of these, but I may wait a while, since I only recently got my Military (even though I got it in mint/barely used condition at a great price).

As far as concerns about it being a compression lock... I think I prefer that. The Spyderco knives I have that use this system do so without the use of a ball bearing and detente, instead using a milled tang to engage the lock spring. I prefer this because I don't trust the bearing as much -- it is, after all, an additional part. Also, there is always some concern about it eventually wearing out -- either the ball or the metal it contacts.
