Miner's drift pick restoration (pic heavy)

Open a cold one, kick back and relax.

You'll probably still be swinging something at home, though, because:
1. you just can't fight your second nature;
2. a wife will always have some new project in mind.

Congrats!

Congratulations on the promotion.

I'm a little younger than you, but twice as old or more than much of the trail and fire crews I work around.
Every year I get older and they send fresh replacements!

I have seen first hand that working smarter not harder, including what tools and how you use them, Really pays off in this contest.

So have you I'm sure, and it shows in the discussions here. Again, congratulations!

Congratulations Square peg and thanks for all the help and tips! Just when you are in the office try not to deviate too frequently to the forum instead of doing the work haha ;)

They are fortunate to have you there instructing them and keeping them safe(r). That's a dangerous business and getting more dangerous all the time.

That's where it's at. Like that big young buck I had to send away. He didn't like getting handily out-worked by an old guy. But he just didn't know how to use a pick and shovel or what kind of pick he ought to be using. He thought the job was impossible and I showed him it was easy. Some men would take the opportunity to learn. Others would sit in the truck blubbering and sniveling. That ain't gonna get you nowhere.
