I have new batch of dashi's available. These are great Christmas gifts :)

What's the off-spine like on these? Is it able to strike a ferro rod? If so I'll gladly take a curved, please. Thanks!
 
I have both. They're great, but i was surprised how much i love that straight edged blade.
 
I will take a straight one with the leather sheath, please. The straight one looks VERY easy to maintain an edge when sharpening.
