Just picked it up yesterday.
It's the modified sheepsfoot version.
In a word, I LOVE it!
Perfect size. I'm definitely starting to prefer smaller knives.
Axis lock, what's not to love?
Very smooth action.
Locks up solid, zero blade play in either axis.
Great feel in the hand for such a small knife with nice grippy texturing.
Awesome blade shape with that killer reinforced tip.
Razor sharp.
I think my large Sebenza has just lost its EDC spot (at least for a while) :)

I am a Mini Grip man too! Why look elsewhere unless you are shopping for jewelry? Nothing cuts better for the money.

I just wish they would keep making them in 440C. I know everyone loves the more fancy steels but the 440C sharpens fast, stays sharp and the spine makes a great sparker for firesteels.

I have a MiniGriptilian as well. I've got a lot of other knives, but I keep coming back to this one for EDC. Best small folder on the market, IMHO.

A #555 was my first "real" knife and has been a consistant favorite. The only other knife to hold my interest as long, the Spyderco UKPK.

A 555 was my first Benchmade. I now have ..umm.. lots of them :o

I found out that I prefered thumbstuds to the oval hole and donated my 555 to a friend.

440C, D2, S30V and M2HS :D

hey Steven, that Ritter has had quite a bit of pocket time! i always wanted one of those.

The new #555 has a round hole and would be much better imho.

:) I swapped the clip from one of my older Benchmades as I prefer the look of the older clips.

My clips don't generally get much wear-and-tear as I usually carry my knives in belt pouches.

:D I agree on the 440C. Have 2 mini's one in 440C and the other in 154CM.
The jury is still out on the 154.
Steve I knew they made a D-2 model , but SV-30 and M2HS?
Where/when did they sell those? Nice picture!
Thanks

Yeah... I have two (154CM and an S30V RSK) minis that are part of my EDC. I really like the 154CM better for work carry because of the blade shape. It's a better fit for the kinds of cutting I have to do. When I travel/camp/hike, I drop the mini-RSK in a pocket and carry my full-size RSK in a belt pouch. I've never needed any cutters but those so far.

I liked mine enough to buy one for my best friend's birthday a couple of years ago. He carries it every day and it still looks and performs great. He had it over here at Christmas opening packages with it... looks about like my new one does.

The round-holed 555HG has joined my collection. It's a great little knife, the blade profile is very practical and the round hole works really well - much better than the oval of the 555.

I just got one of these today and for a small knife it packs a lot of advanced features. I didn't think I'd like the color but it grows on me. Here's a couple of photos to enjoy:

Mini Grip, love em. Thinking about getting one of the new hollow ground models with the hole. The green one is one of my favorite EDC's, stll tight as the day I bought it.

I've recently taken a liking to the mini-grips too. I've got the 556 in 154 CM and just order the D2 version from Cabelas. Now I'll have to save up for the RSK mini-grip.

They're great for EDC.

:)

I am a complete newb, but I just picked up a 556 in 154CM as well and I'm blown away. I have always had basic (cheap) knives, I never knew they could be this good! I'll never go back. I'm already looking at my next purchase.
