Mini Griptilian Mini Review

Ditto, Welcome, look around the forums and get an education on good knives.
Warning: Owning good knives may become an ADDICTION;)
Thanks to both of you. This site is the main reason I bought a Benchmade in the first place.

I was originally looking for an automatic (legal here in FL) because I thought it would be nice to have, but the more I researched, the less I wanted one. And once I started handling some quality knives, I totally lost interest in an auto-opener. It's really not necessary, and god forbid I should need to use it for SD, it might look suspect in the eyes of a jury.

Anyway, now that I have used my mini-grip a bit more, I definitely see myself buying some other high-end knives in the near future. Definitely addicting, I am floored at how much better it really is. Thanks again guys.

I too enjoying my 556S mini-grip, I bought my first knife purely out of fluke. I was at the mall shopping and my eyes got caught on this nice quality little knife so I bought it. I then found out how great these mini-grips are rated at, after I got home and got on this forum :D

Too bad there are extremely limited choices up here in Canada otherwise I will be a hardcore knife collector, it's a disease like flashlights

The mini-grips are my love! I bought a 556 (black) and I liked it so much I went out and bought myself a ritter mini. I bought my gf a 556 in od green p/s and swapped the handles with my ritter =p. Than, I bought my friend for his 34th b-day a mini in 440C and I convinced my friend to buy the 555 in the limited edition grey. Recently, I just got a different friend to buy a 551, but now he wants a mini grip to EDC.
These knives are going to make me go broke :jerkit:

Not to mention I've even modded both my minis to have the "wave" feature. Axis + Wave = pure yum!

I have several of the large and mini versions. These are excellent knives for the money. The lock is very smooth and strong. The heat treat on the 154CM blades is superb. I highly recommend it too!

I've had one for a long time and love it! It's the mini sheepsfoot in 440C. The edge started to chip some from hard use so I thinned and convexed it while also thinning the serrations with a file with which I polished out with some 1200 grit sand paper. The thing is like a RAZOR! I have knives that hold an edge longer and out perform this little guy, but they don't come back as easy and aren't as comfortable as my griptillian. It's an excellent knife that's very practical....especially for the money. I never was a fan of "plastic" until I bought one of these!
