Mini Mirco Bowie for 1/31

I actually thought of it before I got it in hand but now that I have it I wonder if there is enough real estate on it. I am serious! Ill pm ya details and a sketch etc. When you get yours in hand let me know what you think? I was thinking like diamondback rattlesnake shape around the rivets so ya don't have to mess with doing the rivets. Kinda like one empty diamond then one checkered then empty then checkered till ya run out of handle? you could probably fit a quarter between each rivet. Thats about the available space. Can you checker over the rivets too being steel? just curious?

Yeah I've checkered over rivets before. With 3 rivets (which I absolutely love by the way) it's tricky to get a pattern layout to keep them in empty diamonds. Could just put like a border circle around them and just checker like they aren't there.
Have to ponder it some.

Border around everything and all checkered inside would be great if it is no problem going over the rivets. I was trying to think of a pattern so you could avoid the rivets. Actually id like to send it to ya and just have you do whatever you think looks good. You are the master! I know nothing about how its done. Since its chiruwa I guess it would be done like you do pistol grips with a border around the outline of the scales and fill it all in?

It doesn't have to have a border. Sometimes it's more pleasing and certainly easier to just checker right off the edge all the way around. More textured surface and with wear it will create it's own natural borders. The rivets I'm near positive are aluminum so easy peasey to checker over, the ones I did were steel, still wasn't too tough. Checkering up to but not over the rivets might look kind of classy. Kind of one of them personal choice kind of deals.

The big problem is are you going to be able to part with it for a week or so including delivery time to get it done?
Did you get a wood one or a horn. Either checkers fine, I did the horn on my Pen Knife and it checkers well.

Part of my reasoning for keeping both is I can send one at a time to Pugs for a nice suit and still have the other. These seem to be all pretty close in dimensions, he might be able to make me a suit on his and not have to send either one. Perfect.

Thats true. If one fits the suit then the other probably will?
Yep I dont think I could send it off just yet. Might need a few more days:D They do look like they are aluminum. I cant bear to scratch them and find out tho cause shes so pretty. Well just say they are aluminum. Im with ya on that one. We can work something out. Ill PM ya tonight with some ideas after we sit on it for a while. Im doing my taxes tonight as well so I may need my little Bowie to do some tax cuts:eek:
