I can't decide if I like the flare at the choil, it looks like it would be functional for slicing but it's not pleasing to my eye.

I have the caper style and like it. I use it sometime for carving and small tasks in the woods. I am going to pick up the skinner soon.

Appearance of a blade is each man's taste, but the Buck is pretty usable, IMO. I really like the Becker, I carry it nearly every day since that pic was taken (the Paklite rides in my EDC bag), but the Paklite is more comfortable to hold in my hand....

I'd be interested in hearing your opinions of the skinner if you get one....

I ordered them both. To start with a gut could easy put a small loop on the bottom of the sheath for neck carry, It looks like the strap should hold the knife tight in the sheath.

I have both Bucks and really like them. I prefer the skinner to my Becker BK11 - the grip is more comfortable for me. They come really sharp and touch up easily.

That caper is looking awesome. They both look great but the caper speaks to me...buy me, buy me:)

It reminds me of the Microtech Medallion. Anyone remember those? I think I spent more than six times as much as you did and then lost it in a lake. I'll definitely have to pick up the Buck.

I'm going to pick up that caper too...

That is some DELICIOUS beer! Great choice. Knife looks awesome too. Look out Moras, here Buck comes. Also, schneiderwiess is great too...give it a shot if you havent already

I love the mod!!!! Has the 'use-ability' changed since removing that bit of edge?

I have one of these babies *hopefully* arriving tomorrow and would also grind (file actually) that bit off as well if it doesn't decrease safety/use-ability....

Thanks for resurrecting this thread - hadn't seen it before...
