Minimal

Definitely a multitool. If I'm going to be away from home for a long time, it's leatherman charge tti. For daily use, nextool flagship pro. It is an ideal product with its pliers, full-size blade, saw, and full-size shears.

I have a us made Utica micromaster on my key chain and a Spyderco chaparral in my "wallet". My wallet is just a ranger band that holds my credit cards and a bit of cash.

From there, I can throw a knife into my pocket for fun.

I carry a ton of crap anyway, but if/when I'm able to go lighter weight, like at the gym, I stuff most of my crap in the locker or my little med bag, and carry a small Brian Tighe and Friends Twist Tighe OTF. Its 1.74oz.

Otherwise, my standard loadout is:

Left front pocket:

Samsung Z Flip 4
Omnipod 5 PDM
Olight i5T plus

Right front pocket:

Fidelo minimalist wallet
Pocket knife clipped
Key fob
House/work keys/mini pry bar

There is always a folder in my pocket, regardless of where I am or how I’m dressed. But, if I go anywhere outside of the four walls of my home, I will have a pistol, small fixed blade, a modern folder, and a SAK on my person. Of course I carry a house key and a car key, minimalist wallet, AAA battery flashlight, and a spare pistol magazine as well. The only exception is when I’m at the beach. During those times I still have a Spyderco Salt in my pocket, but the rest of the stuff will be in my backpack close by.

For just a touch over 6.5 oz I have a P.A.C.K.Lite knife, small kit and sheath. This has done overnight trips, and more daily fishing trips than I can count, and cleans fish quite handily, with no handle material to absorb smell or blood. You can fit more in the handle, but this makes it very handy to get whatever I want out pretty quickly.

I carry an orange one occasionally, if it will be of benefit. Other photos for weight comparison. It will take a bit of doing to get more functionality to weight than that, in my opinion.

Whats your most minimal carry system?

no knife at all?

For me its a SAK.
It's never one specific knife, as they get rotated a lot, but my minimal EDC to leave the domicile is a folder chosen with an eye to what I'm doing and where I'm going, a flashlight (usually an OLight), notepad and pen, watch, minimalist wallet (card and billfold), handkerchief, and keys. The vehicle always has a pioneer kit in the trunk and a rescue tool.

Victorinox Alox Cadet unless going someplace where nothing at all is allowed. Victorinox Alox Mini Champ on key ring if driving somewhere. If THAT is not allowed, keys and a plastic pocket comb.

My most minimal system for out in public is this:
912DC264-954D-4957-B757-D23105AC5B03.jpeg
~Mini wallet w/ cash, cards, duct tape (bandage/tinder) and a mini ferocium rod
~Watch to hide my watch tan
~Phone (represented by the case)
~Key ring (titanium) with Asp Palm Defender pepper spray and mini SAK
~Photon Micro Light Freedom “Covert” around my neck
~CS Tuff Lite

I’m almost always toting a pistol and badge as well as another flashlight, and I usually carry a larger folder, but the above gear covers lots of bases.

Just looked up “pioneer kit” - pretty cool - gotta add some things to our vehicles now. They’re more set up for outdoor survival than creating fighting positions, but these days that seems increasingly appropriate…

What kind of rescue tool are you talking about?
