Minor Antique Centre Spree

Splendid selection, Jack!!:thumbup: As others have noted, calling your spree "minor" seems quite an understatement! :p
Very interesting knives and an informative thread!
My favorites are the MOP pen knife and the ring opener. Any idea about to what the "writing" on the ring opener refers? I like the idea of a knife encouraging a celebration like Saturnalia, especially since my birthday falls during that ancient festival!

Thanks GT. I'm assuming the ring-opener is an advertising knife for a firm producing drive-belts. PM me an address my friend and it's an early birthday present ;)

Excellent haul Jack lovely knives

Thanks you sir :)

neat and cool and groovy - I am not quite sure how to translate this into Yorkshire:D

Thanks pal :) "Champion!" :D

Jack, I feel rather unobservant. :( I didn't even notice that one side of the knife says "Belting" and the other "Beltings"; I apparently just saw the singular, and inferred that Belting must be the name of a quaint British town with inexplicable interest in both Scandinavia and Saturn! With your drive-belt info in mind, I Googled "Scandinavia belting Saturn" and found this link https://books.google.com/books?id=qiggAQAAMAAJ&pg=PA698&dq=scandinavia+belting+saturn&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0CDAQ6AEwAGoVChMIo_Py-Zu2yAIViFweCh1DfwEC#v=onepage&q=scandinavia%20belting%20saturn&f=false that indicates that Scandinavia Belting Ltd was a London based company "with works in Yorkshire". (Leaving "Saturn" out of the Google search led to reports on one or more lawsuits involving Scandinavia Belting.) Very interesting!:thumbup:

Thanks also for the very generous offer, Jack!:cool::cool: PM headed your way!

Nicely done Jack Sir. Blade forums Treasure hunter. That knife must have belonged to my Mum - she used to dish out a tremendous amount of beltings😫

Great detective work GT, thanks for the PM

Duncan, you're not alone there my friend! :D
