Minor issue

From what I have heard/been told/read on the KAI website, Chinese knives must be shipped back for repair. They only send out parts for the USA knives.
 
Is that sarcasm? Its hard to tell in this format.
No sir, no sarcasm intended at all, none whatsoever. I'm so very sorry you, or any other member took my post as such. I was simply trying help out a customer in need. Promise it won't happen again. Sorry again.

Wow. Powernoodle's question was perfectly legit and one I just asked myself as well reading through this thread. Every time you post it becomes more and more clear to me why the KAI subforum is no more.

So to now get back on topic. I've PM'd the OP, and will get the parts out as soon as I hear back from him on specifically what he needs.
 
I'm curious, do they pay you to single-handedly turn people off of their brand or do you just throw that in for free?

What's with the hate, fetzer? All kidding aside, he responded to a member's question, cleared up some info and is even going to get parts mailed out to the OP. How is that turning people off of KAI?
 
The offer to help in this case is more than what I've seen from many manufacturers. In fact, you can count them on 2-3 fingers that would go to the lengths that KAI goes to make sure the products are right. Picking fights, instigation, and other BS is not welcome, needed, or tolerated. Moving on, neeext!

ETA: I agree with grownstar.
 
Wanted to add several hours after talking to Kai several times on phone I received email saying that someone walked to parts department and looked and parts I needed were there the whole time.......I usally don't push an issue like I did this time but info I was getting made no sense and I had feeling that parts were there. Good news is they are on there way to me and the Thermite isn't discontinued
