It seems everyone here has a story to tell and interesting things going on in their lives. I'd love to hear about 'em!

So... what are you guys and gals getting into these days???
 
A genuine story telling thread and I block? Something just ain't right here.

When's Valentines day anyhow, I want to do it right this year.
 
Well, Philllll. I'm making main springs for wheellocks and also a jig to insure proper bends in them each and every time. Been panning my black sands out to extract all the fine gold and will use mercury and nitric acid for the final clean up. Not much going on except trying to stay warm and wishing I was down your way.
 
We decided to avoid the weekend crowds and do our v-day date thing tonight. The wife is with child so I'm trying to enjoy what little bit of freedom I've got left. Took her to a real fancy place (I had a gift card), it's real classy, I had to wear shoes and everything! They fudged up my steak the first time, but they made it over AND took it off the bill so I ain't complaining. Had a real nice time, real fancy like. I even wore my good set of overalls.
 
I bought me a beautiful little Colt Detective Special not to long ago that is almost to pretty to shoot.
It shoots a little high with 158 gr. ammo but is dead on with 125's.
It sits here with me at my desk as I type.
Sure is a pretty little thing.:)

I am currently involved in the southern icepocalypse, we had a minor ice storm yesterday that coated everything in .1 inch of ice, followed by sleet for about 8 hours, then the sleet melted and gave armor to all the roads and everything-- I really need money but had to close two days because I can't risk my trucks on these roads--- I have been researching apiaries , and still plan on setting up my own bees this summer.

got my pair of indic swords in and decided that bensinger is going to have to make me a pair of working reproductions.



I dreamed also that the moon was a burning flower a lotus of many worlds, and that giant eels of the north are good mothers, also fat men in holiday shirts all over the world are telling secrets to ignorant onlookers as they gaze into the glittering black water of the lost sea!
 
Can't beat a fine detective special. First carry gun I bought was a detective special. It got stolen long long ago and I got a Cobra to replace it. I still carry the serial number in my wallet. We'll encounter one another again one day.

I agree, pictures or it didn't happen.

Hmmmm:eek: Thats fancy! My baby and I celebrated 27 years together. I had to put on shoes too! I think if they sell liquor in there they make you wear them things. Probably some liquor control board Sunday rule or something?

Gehazi you need to get out more often;)

Congratulations to both of you, warms my heart to read about enduring relationships in todays' society.

I'm getting ready to fly back to Europe, to a warmer place, glad to leave the Chicago low temps for a change. Buying stuff that's otherwise harder to get or 3 times as expensive back there (:eek::foot:)!
 
Have a safe trip Moon. Hope you get all that loot back home without airline pilferage.
 
Thanks, guys, never had any bad experience with luggage, hopefully it stays this way. I'll still be around more than a week, enough time to find out whether the Weather guy saying -4 Fahrenheit was joking or not :D.
