Hello Everyone..

UPDATE:
on 28th Feb Mitchell has paid the knife in full.

I have to share a very bad experience I had with a customer.
This person got a knife from me (unnamed ) and once he got it he sold it the next day.. Now I know it's his knife and he can do whatever he wants with it but after that I was blocked from his IG account and than he issued refund through paypal , so now he got the knife , sold it and I'm out $1200.
This happened Dec 22. 2017.
He claimed his paypal got blocked and that he will take care of the money in a few weeks.. week by week went by and still no money.
He offered to pay through cash app or google wallet but once I provided the payment info for both cash app and gwallet he stopped communication.

refunded money was 2 echecks, first echeck payment was being cleared by paypal , i sent the knife without getting the payment as i did that multiple times and the echeck would always clear. than he sent the other echeck.
both totaling to $1200 , then after a few days one check got declined and the other that went through got refunded.
refund was asked by the bank.
paypal didn't ask me any info as proof of delivery or my side of the story they just took 1200 out of my balance.

knife in question is this :

Knifemakers and knife collectors beware :
his name is :

Mitchell Howell from TX , USA ,

he turned off his IG, he's mitchell.howell on bladeforums and is a gold member.

Really don't know what to do more at this point except warn all others not to deal with this person.

Thank you for your attention and hope you all have a great day!

UPDATE:

Mitch paid $200 and said to pay the rest in the days to follow.

UPDATE 2:

As of this moment Mitchell has paid the knife in full. Thank you all for your support and kind words gentleman!!!

I don’t know anything about this Mitchell Howell from TX , USA but I can say from experience that Dalibor is as honest as they come. Hope it all works out

Well, if he is a member here he needs to respond to this. Have you made him aware of this posting.

Just so I am reading this right . You made the knife and sold it to Mitchell Howell from Texas and he did a charge back ? got that money and proceeded to sell the knife . If this is what you mean he got his money and the money from the sale . Would definitely
like some more details .

This is scary... how PayPal managed to chargeback you without evidence?
This is my worst nightmare...
I think for now I worried about this happening-scammers-no honesty.
I have a knife for sale, you buy & pay.
I ship. You then cancel. Knife is gone, I dont get paid.
Never see money or knife again...
I hate this.

I saw on FB but , do not understand how it is possible, since You can cancel a paid payment only if it appears as Not Recovered...

Nb : PayPal say : We can not cancel a transaction whose status is Completed. We advise you to contact the recipient directly to arrange a refund.

The guy initiated a chargeback through his actual bank. Dalibor posted all of the details on IG. PayPal has no recourse because the dude’s bank is the one taking the funds back. I work in banking and file claims for PayPal transactions all of the time. It’s typically a customer reporting either fraud or that they never received the product. Our claims center goes to PayPal and retrieves the funds.

OP should really clarify exactly how this occurred as well.

He just sent $200 , and should send the rest in the following days.

as for how it happend it's like this :

he paid via echeck, first echeck payment was being cleared by paypal , i sent the knife without getting the payment as i did that multiple times and the echeck would always clear. than he sent the other echeck.

however he paid $200 just now and said to pay the rest in the following days.

Dalibor Dalibor

Do you mind doing a precise chronology of events? That way, we all know exactly what happened, and when it happened?

Anyway, sounds like he, essentially, stole the knife, from you, sold it, and pocketed the cash, that should be in your pocket. If that's so, I'm very sorry to hear that! I hope you can get this worked out! That knife looked like it took a lot of skill, and time, to make.

So many scammers, and so little patience!

That doesn't sounds like a chargeback at all, that is his funding source for paypal being no good.

It's a tough thing to learn and hopefully he comes thru but I won't ship anything without full payment being confirmed. Checks take too long to confirm.

E checks take at least 5 bus days. No thanks.
