We will have a proper DEK1 sale here in two weeks

If you want a hard thin Field Knife or a Behemother, get it now, because we're about done with them.

Due to the large turnouts we're going to do larger sales but every other week. Today's sale is for ~15 knives and the next sale will be in two weeks. Today's sale is for a couple from the new run of new DEK1 pattern (5 in Delta 3V or AEBL, standard or swedged) and 15 of the others (Field knives in various configurations and the glorious 12" Behemother Choppers).

All of the Field Knives in this offering are "hard thin". We have a few "hard thin" with a sharp 90 degree spine for use with a ferro rod. The standard heat treat Field Knife is SOLD OUT.

You can choose from "Hard/Thin" Field Knives, Behemothers, and a limited number of DEK1s. Standard Field Knives are sold out.

We have the hard thin Field Knife 2, some 12" Behemothers and 5 DEK1 tactical EDC.

^picture totally stolen from Imgur because for some reason I don't actually have a picture of a Behemother, lol...

These are the first production DEK1 tactical EDC developed in collaboration with Lorien Arnold.

^ I know, I need to make better pictures...

The DEK1 is almost as compact as an EDC. The handle is well thought out and works well as a general purpose utility knife but is also well designed for a reverse grip. You have to hold one of these to fully understand it, but this knife is brilliant. It will not fit XXL or very small hands. It fits me (large) Jo, (medium) and Mark (XL) but due to the nature of the piece it doesn't work well with extreme outliers.

The DEK1 in Delta 3V is $295 plus shipping

The DEK1 in AEBL with a well developed optimized heat treat is $275 plus shipping

Today's sale is for 5 in Delta 3V or AEBL, your choice

First come first serve for the first 15 knives. If this sale is popular we'll have another in two weeks. It will be different inventory but if your heart is set on something we will try to accommodate it if possible.

Is this “new” DEK1 pattern different than last week’s pattern?

if so are there any pics of new pattern?

Hi, if you have dek with swedge and penetrator's tip i will take it with natural canvas micarta and in 3v

Please explain “hard and thin” vs regular FK2’s. I am a bit ignorant of the variety of CP knives since I never have coin to spend on them.

The "hard thin" was a variation of the field knife that was run a little bit harder and a little bit thinner. despite being harder it does not have better edge retention, it just has a slightly different edge wear mechanism.

It is higher hardness not due to a lower tempering temperature but because it was austenitized in a manner to put more carbon into solution forming a plate martensite rather than a mix of plate and lath. This supports a thinner geometry.

It's a good knife for people who plan to use it as a skinning knife or other applications that won't see as much impact as the standard field knife will tolerate.

It is a relatively minor tweak, it is not a night and day difference, the two knives are very similar it's just a tweak for the special knife nuts that wanted it. Years ago the original OG field knife was heat treated this way.

I will take one Behemothers in Black Linen micarta with Sheath (kydex Mashed Cat), if its still available

Thanks.

I will take DEK1 - Delta 3V - OD Terotuf with swedge
