This evening I got a pound of steak tips, salt, pepper, cajun seasonings a dash of cayenne, tossed in sesame oil and broiled in the oven for about 30 minutes at 450.
a while ago, for the hell of it, we ordered an anchovy/pineapple pizza... well damned if it isn't the best pizza i've ever had! it's like sweet/sour foods, give it a try
Those steak tip sound very good. For us tonight it was a couple of whole pork tenderloins, the little backstrap fillets, seasoned lightly then seared before slowly roasting to a juicy medium doneness. Just some rice and steamed mixed veggies on the side. Yummy.
Tonight it's grilled chicken breast smothered in Rupert Jonhson's Southern Style BBQ sauce. It's on the grill outside, even though there's four inches of fresh snow. It's still on the grill so I can't definitely say how it tastes, but there's nothing better than Johnson's BBQ.
Last night was frozen DiGiornio pizza, so I guess it all averages out.
Today lunch was a Carribean/blackened fresh Mahi sandwich & fries.
Dinner was a spinach salad w/ chicken & a southwestern/cilantro dressing.
Dessert was about a 1/2 dozen small Reeses Cups.
Holy crap, that BBQ chicken was better than I remember! Since I drive all the way to Southern Illinois for the sauce, I generally only use the Rupert Johnson's sauce on the table. But since I found an online sauce source, I figure there's no reason to skimp.
For breakfast, generic pop-tarts and milk. For lunch, chips and salsa and beer. Supper made the whole crappy day worthwhile.
Right now its "Ishiharaya assorted plantation tea cookies. A time honored tradtion in Hawaii since 1920". Man these are good. Less than half the bag left, and I just opened it a half an hour ago. Man these are good. Good. Goood. Gooooood. mmmmmm.
Oh after my tea cookies, I had some mean meatloaf, rice, some baked patato wedges. After I had more of the cookies and Kula strawberries. OOOOOOO it was goooood.
I made Pasta con Asparagi last night. Well, spaghetti with a sort of home-made butter/cream sauce and a bunch of asparagus, and plenty of shredded parmesan. Turned out pretty good, and only about 15 minutes to make. Oh, a bunch of those Pillsbury crescent rolls.
Dont ask me about calories or fat....Hey, asparagus, right?
