Mnandi: My latest Obsession

I usually prefer the darker ebony, but that one is very, very nice Dennis! Very interesting.

Also have one of the darker, more traditional Ebony Mnandis:

But .... really prefer wood with more visible grain and color variation in it. For me, this new one hits the spot!!!

d.r.h.,
Both are really nice Mnandi's. I think your new one is great, the wood and blade pattern go well together.
Congrats

A pic of the latest thanks to Dino...

And a beauty it is. I told Dino that I went back and forth looking at that one. Came close ..... but I am partial to greens and blues in bark!!! Congrats. Do have to admit .... she is a real looker and with a decorated pin to top things off!

The ladder pattern and decorated pin are what did it for me. The ladder reminds me of the pattern on a bark that I used to own, it was my EDC. I have kept my eye open for a similar pattern and this one fit the bill quite nicely.
I'm partial to barks with blues and greens as well. They are pretty scarce though.

Newest Mnandi arrived and I am in love (okay ..... an old story, I know!!)

Very nice Dennis! I did not notice the red tints in the dealer pics, they really add to the beauty.
Congrats!

Yes, the reds are primarily on the edges. If not positioned just right in the photos, you could overlook them. Also, found out that at least this one has been sitting around for quite some time in his unlisted stock. It's birth date is from October (18th) of 2012. Now, waiting to see if someone here bought the other one I was considering. It had pretty nicely matched front and rear inlays with a nice bright red patch smack dab in the middle of the inlays. It was a toss up for me ..... but I figured that I hung around on the site too long trying to decide ...... both might be snapped up!!!! You know how it goes!

What a beauty Dennis!! I was an inch away from buying the other one you are referring to above, but decided against ... didn't want to spend the cash. It sure was a beauty as well! Still, given the choice, I'd go with yours.

I was thinking I would have that BE blade swapped out with a Damascus one ..... but now, think I will leave it just as it is. Makes a nice contrasting partner to my lighter BE Mnandi (posted this in the images thread ... but will post it again here)

Just about half of the Mnandis listed are now gone ..... really hoping folks here got one or two ...... really looking forward to seeing some pics!!!
