Mnandi: My latest Obsession

And such a beautiful way to bring the thread back to the forefront! Thanks Mike! I should be able to do the same next week with a new one (currently inbound) thanks to a good BF member and CRK fan.

Okay ... as promised. Here's my newest Mnandi. While new to me, it came from within the BF CRK family. So it's still at home ... just a different home. I really like to keep only one of each inlay type, unless it is one of those special inlays (or special to me). So, when I saw this Camel Thorn come up for sale, I grabbed it, even though I already have a Camel Thorn Mnandi. My first one is a 2004 model with a ladder Damascus blade. This new one is from 2006 and sports an S30V blade.

And here are a couple shots of the Camel Thorn duo:

Very nice Dennis! I was eyeing that one too, glad it stayed in the CRK family!
Very nice score Dennis, that one has an excellent grain pattern!
Great score Dennis! Very nice duo

Thanks. Despite some minor issues with this score, very happy to add it to the collection. Another inlay I wouldn't mind having multiples of would be Mesquite. But Camel Thorn, when the grain and coloring is right, is a really intriguing wood. Too bad CRK never (to my knowledge) made any Sebenzas with this wood. If I am wrong ... let me know as I would love to see some pics, which would ultimately lead me on a quest to find one!

Thanks for posting that great trio and bringing this thread back to the top!!! Yesterday, was thinking that I should post some old pics (or buy a new Mnandi ;)) just to place the Mnandi thread back on page 1 where it belongs!!!
