After holding the bk16, the bk2 seems like WAY to much knife. This thing really is the perfect knife. Well done Ethan, well done.

Looks like a nice all around knife. Especially for someone like myself who hikes and doesn't want the weight. I guessing you could even baton with the bk16 pretty well.

Very Nice! What do you think of the brown grips?

I like the color, but only because they remind me more of micarta than the black. When the micarta hits the streets they will be replaced.

LJC that is actually why i love the FPR better. I like a little more meat behind the edge. feels more indestructible that way. Full flats worry me sometimes

Awesome.

Yeah, you can baton with the BK16, just keep it within reason, it may look like a BK2, but trust me, you could make 4 BK16's with 1 BK2.

I've taken mine through some harwoods, about 2-3" in diameter. Ate them up like Dorito's Loco Tacos. Not much out there this little fella will not do, but I'm tellin' ya, bushcraftin' just got a new face.

And it would seem, a new signature.

added a signature verification pic. For those that think its not Ethans signature......fools...

I proved it ;)

Haha very true, any chance you snapped a pic after stripping but before the blue etch? Just curious to see what the laser etch looked like once the coating was off. I am trying to decide if I am going to try to remove the FPR and signature or not.

Haha, figured you wouldn't waste any time. Nice work.

No i didnt not but it prevelant and actually looks pretty sweet. Ya know that dull greay color under the coating when you strip it? Coupld that with the shiny etch and it has a cool look

Did you etch the sig on the bk16?

No I did not. The signature was protected under a coating of vaseline so that the etch stayed on the flats.
