Modded BK16S

Well done Sir! That came out awesome and I like the "caramel" color of the scales too, I'm so glad tan is the new black.

Eli

edit: just read page two so... Well done Sir's! Both look great.

Clich, pretty damned cool! I wondered how the sig would hold up after stripping.

Great job.

Couldn't agree with you more about the handles - they nailed it.

Sheath is top shelf too.

Sweet little package.

Great work to you as well ST, sorry I don't always read threads before posting. Sometimes I treat them like directions or instructions.

Signature is pretty deep..... Will take some more pics out in the sun tomorrow.... You can see the Sig perfectly in person.... The sheath is great..... The two straps may be overkill but all in all.... Great sheath.
Great knife.....!

I have a question since this is the only modded tweener thread, is it "safe" to split and fuse (melt) the belt loop so that it's similar to the spec-ops sheaths?

Wow man!! Wow...That looks totally awesome!! I like how you can still see E's sig. That etch looks Clich worthy...Oh wait. Nice job once again!! You should celebrate by drinking a mason jar full of your own urine. That is, if you havn't already...

Hey clich, if I send you a Mason jar of urine and one of these BK16's, could you hook a brother up with an etch job?

I'm no pro with that kinda thing, but I'm gonna say no. At a minimum you'd lose the top retention strap, but more likely ruin it.

Great job, Clich and rivertamer! Looks like they are both ready to go to work.

Crap, oh well, I guess the best I can do is dye it until I can get one with split loops.

Yup. I have the urine tho so ill do it for free

If I send you a chunky brown substance in a jar labeled "A Hand Full Of Everything" could I also get it etched with my BH# on the other side of the knife? After I get my BH# of course.

I also already have 3 maybe 4 jars of that as well (depending on humidity) so yes of course.

I like the split loops on the Spec Ops sheaths, but I really wouldn't trade this sheath for any other nylon sheath. Now if you just want a kydex or leather then that's different. It's really high quality.

I think it should take dye pretty well though, at least the light parts, the darker piping seems like a slightly different material. Again I'm not really experienced with dying fabric.

Looking good, Clich! You are getting me more and more excited about those tweeners!

thanks bro, thats what i was thinking for mine, a nice etch on the flats to cover/disguise the "FPR" billboard and stripped edge to show off the sig. thanks for being the guinea pig for me LOL

Oh, there is no doubt what-so-ever that it's a tippity-toppity shelf sheath, but given that I like the split loops better than something that might, not that it will, but it might, slide around, and besides, it would make the perfect upside down carry pack sheath, but that's again, just the loops that have me.

As far as weird dye results, if it comes out mostly black with some OD green parts, I won't be to terribly upset.
