For sale (no trades, thanks), a modded Spyderco Native 5 with fluted carbon fiber scales. I'm the second owner. The first owner made a few alterations.
Rather than the original S90V blade, the knife features a reground LC200N blade for a "rust-proof experience." It also now employs teflon washers. The carbon fiber scales were in turn modded by REK, chamfering the inside edges to smooth out its handling. Comes with original box and papers.
There are a few flaws to note up front. First, the knife comes without a pocket clip or screws. Second, some of the existing screw holes in the carbon fiber look to be over-worked -- perhaps with screws that were too big for the factory threads set into the carbon fiber. The knife therefore may not mount a clip easily, depending on where you want it to go.
The blade cuts very well, but I have not myself sharpened the knife, nor used it for anything beyond paper and string.
Sells new for around $265. Balancing the mods and concerns over the clip/screw holes, I'm asking PPFF $SOLD. US Priority Mail, US50 states. Thanks for looking!
