Modern Alternative to the 110?

So, I have another custom Buck 110 on order and can't wait to get it. This will be an EDC and
I plan to use it, not keep it pristine. I'm well aware that it'll eventually develop blade play due to the design and materials and I can fully accept that due to the fact that I just love the way the knife looks and feels in the hand.
But all this has me wondering, is there a modern equivalent to the 110?
Something with a better, more long term reliable design?
I'd still like it to have traditional handle materials and look as close to the 110 as possible.
A mid lock would also be nice.
Doesn't have to have a clip as I would never clip something that big to my pocket.
Lemme know what's out there.
BTW, I hope this isn't sacrilege.
I'll always have a Buck 110 on my belt.

It doesn’t look like a 110, but a modern folder mid-handled back lock in traditional looking handle material sounds to me like the Paakawood Vtoku Endura.

OP you're also wanting screwed constr, correct? ability to adjust the play away as it might develop. rather than repressing the pins. the buck pin constr with brass rods is something you want to get away from....or am I off the track in the way I read it?

If the issue is lateral play, there are some modders and custom makers on the Buck forum who regularly convert the pivot to screws.

If the issue is vertical play (aka lock rock) and if you wear asbestos knickers, you might make your ask directly the Buck forum, as the head of their warranty department is a moderator there. Expect to be flamed by the loyalists for questioning the durability of the 110. Still, as a Buck 110, imo a Buck lock back shouldn't develop lock rock and Buck should do what they need to do to ensure it's a rare problem.

To be fair, my metal bolstered 110s hold up as well or better than any other lock back I've owned. I have one that is 10 ish years old, just a basic low end model and it's been a work knife and pushed pretty hard cutting back brush and it locks up like a bank vault. All 3 of my current 110s lock up tight.

As a practical matter, maybe the best thing is to just keep at least 2 in rotation and if you develop play, send it to Buck for a free overhaul.

I wouldn't worry about the traditional 110's durability, or blade play. Lots of folks have used theirs hard for decades. There is the new Buck "slim" line, worth a look. Congrats on your Custom Shop acquisition -- love the 112 with oak scales and rivets I got a couple of years ago. I expect it will outlast me.

The new Buck 110 Slim Pro is worth a look. Still a 110 but a BIG change from the classic. I'm loving mine.

I'm not sure if this is what you are going for OP but buck makes a modern version of the 110, with with G10 or Micarta scales and a thumb stud.

The 110 LT is a cool USA Made knife for about $29. Can’t adjust much on it, but it is almost a disposal knife at that price. Exact same dimensions as the 110 but about 1/2 the weight.

The new Pro 110 in micarta is very cool as well. More $$$ but S30V steel, IIRC...

Is this a regular Buck product or special make up for a distributor? If the latter, who?
Buck collectors club offering. Avail now and again online. Plus 3 m icarta scale options.

The fact that it is made in China may put it off to some, but I like the AG Russell Gun
Stock lock back, I have the large and medium one. With his passing, maybe a way to remember him by getting one of the folders from his company. Sturdy lock, decent steel and quite robust.
