Recommendation? Modern/Futuristic Knives?

Ironic that it seems to me "futuristic" knives were all the rage a few years in the past ;)

Not knocking the style though, as I do appreciate variety in design, as well as the push for innovation. Just an observation

Absolutely. And many designs now considered classic (in knives and otherwise) started off as modern/futuristic, and were often scoffed at by the masses initially. I just find it interesting to see what sticks and what doesn't. I think in the end the ones with an emphasis on function are the ones to endure.

EDIT: nothing wrong with "it just looks cool to me" either. There's no wrong way to do a hobby as long as you enjoy it

Rike Knives are pretty futuristic, generally. Their manufacturing is definitely cutting edge. I just picked up the Lamella. Very similar to the Marukka above.
They also helped out Microtech with the Socom Bravo, which definitely looks good.
