Modern gentleman's folder

There are some great suggestions already.. Here is a classy option with a pretty sweet assisted flipper.

I'm going with the Al Mar Hawk Ultralight. It's been around a long while, I used to carry one, loved it. It's got classic lines, and a variety of blade design, blade length, and scale options. There's even a Hawk with horn scales.

This is what I carry.
No clip, wood scales, 2.5" long blade, your price rage.

How about a Tidioute #15 boys knife, single clip blade, in ebony? It's more towards the side of timeless classic however instead of modern.

For just a little more (about $100) you can get a carbon fiber spyderco chaparral. Deep carry wire clip that can be removed if you would like, and it's very light. S30v steel and nice lockback design with good fit and finish.

Aren't they cts-xhp blade steel now?

Well, under $75? No clip and no carbon fiber, but I was looking at a Buck Prince, not sure of the model number, traditional lockback that seemed pretty nice. I think it was about $55. Not exactly modern, but still relevant, IMO.

The AG Russell Gentleman's Frame Lock is over your price point, but is a nice modern gentleman's folder with Titanium handle. It's made in China but it's a nice knife.
