WE knives Rusty Gent, everything is flushed with good workmanship, I like this far better than the few Lionsteel I owned.

Depending how you look at it, but I do consider SAK as modern 'traditional'. Some of it's models have lineage goes back more than 125 years ago.
I just gotta say that the term " modern traditional " is an oxymoron and theres no such thing.
I'm not saying theres anything wrong with these traditional knife inspired modern folders, but the traditional knife word just doesn't have the craving for the latest and greatest like the modern world does so it's preferable that their kept seperate.
I’m interested. There's no oxymoron if it's thought of as knife designs that incorporate trends from both categories of knives, but if you don't like the name you can call it whatever you want. The point was to briefly describe a category of knives that exhibit certain feature combinations, and clearly those in fact exist.
This, like any other category of knives won't appeal to everyone. I'm skeptical that all people who buy traditional knives won't be interested in these. I happen to be one of them. I'm capable of liking more than one thing at a time.

Good thing this was posted in General and not the Folksy Forum then. The oxymoron is just in the terminology as modern and traditional cannot truly exist in the same knife.
I'm just nitpicking here though.
A lot of people who enjoy both do like these knives ( the many many traditionalists like me don't)
I should have not even commented , and apologize for getting this off topic.Good thing this was posted in General and not the Folksy Forum then.

There was actually a thread with this same title over on the porch ( the traditionals section) and there was a good deal of disputing in it.
I believe the common issue being that those who like both can easily just post the less traditional stuff here and leave the porch for the truly traditional stuff.
As a traditionals guy these aren't my thing, but I do think they are probably good for the modern world.
When everything has been done , this could be a good pace to turn.
I almost started the thread over there, but I wanted to make sure it would be received well. I read the rules and saw that what I had in mind wasn't allowed so here we are. Hope I didn't come off too snarky
That looks like an expensive flashlight!
