Modern ultra lightweight (<=2.0oz) production locking folders w/ 3”+ blade

I'm a big fan of the Cold Steel Kudu, weighs 2.4oz but has a big ol' 4 1/4" long, 2mm thick FFG blade and an even longer handle. That weight for that size excites me. Doesn't even cost double digits, astronomical value. Takes a scary sharp edge real quick, too! No pocket clip, unfortunately, as it is a traditional with modern materials.

A couple of my favorite lightweights are the Spyderco Centofante 3 and the Benchmade 940. Both probably exceed 2.0 ounces but both are superb knives and feel featherweight when carrying.

Also agree on the Benchmade 530.

Boker Urban Trapper.
BM 940, 943 & 530 or 31.
I have all of them and usually wind up with the 943 in my pocket.

I have a Zinker fruit knife. It is a custom with an S-30-V blade. I also carry a William Henry B-15 Titan (55 gm).

Might fall outside your thinking of "modern" but the Opinel #8.

3 1/4" blade

1.75 ounces

Also an arguably much more ergonomic handle for extended hard cutting compared to modern, thin handled, light knives.

^ Yeah, I was referring to modern as one hand opening, but still a great knife! Great price, too.

Another vote for the CRKT EROS 3" Titanium.

Have had and used it for 11 months. Only downside of the 1.4 ounces is the fear that I have lost it until I thoroughly check the pocket.

Great gentleman's knife performer and gets positive comments from non-knife bystanders.

A review on Amazon spoke of lint getting built up in the stop pin groove. Have any of you Ti Eros owners experienced that?

Don't forget the William Henry E10 with a 3.25 inch blade at 1.6 oz

No, that hasn't been a problem. However, I take good care (inspect) my knives and guns periodically, even if I don't detect a problem during use.

Another excellent choice. I haven't had the "nerve" to put mine into pocket rotation. Bought it as an heirloom for my 3 year old Grandson.

Must say that, absent actual usage, it is a seemingly perfect knife!

CRKT Eros TI is very slim. I did get some debris in the pivot area and although it was working you could hear it. I disassembled, cleaned and reassembled. All good. Since mine is exposed to sweat, dust and salt water I probably should've done that sooner. The loose IKBS bearings are tricky to clean and put back in but I watched a video by Ikoma himself. The only sign of rust I saw was around the steel standoffs but fixed it with Flitz.
