Modified a Buck 112 (pictures)

Well done David! I am really looking foreword to seeing it with it's tattoo ;)
Very rewarding feeling when you start seeing your work come to completion, isn't it! Ivory micarta will get better and better as it mellows with age too. Nice choice!

Thank you Sit. Yes, the project turned out better than I thought it would. She allows no one in her engraving room while working. Until she's ready to show it. So, I really don't know how it's progressing. DM

Great job, David!! I like the white scaled knives a lot.
I'm looking forward what Leesa does with the unspoiled
surfaces.

Haebbie
Haebbie, Thank you. This is nearly the same material as the bolo tie. She's been a busy beaver in there today. DM

Yeah, Yeah, Nice knife, what I would expect from DM Buck nut, BUT now I am ready to see some decoration from your better half....

300

Thank you 300. Upon getting home I could hear her working and there was no, 'O-crud!' So, I know she's enjoying herself. She works real quite. Just her usual demeanor. DM

Great courage and workmanship on this project. Love the white micarta scales, Someone brought up the work Ms. Leesa did on PD's knives. Sure do miss his posts. Again great workmanship on your part. Looking forward to seeing after her work done on this beauty.
Harold
Thank you so much, Harold for these supportive words. DM

Very knice indeed DM, Leesa will have an excellent canvas to work with.

Thank you, Fritz. That's what I do,--supply her with the canvas to work on. When in elementary school they kept telling me to stay within the lines when coloring but I ate the crayons instead. So, I knew my kids were in trouble unless I married talent. DM

Lol, she's gotta sleep sometime ;) Nice work David !:) Tom

Thank you, Tom. Yes, she does sleep, mostly regular at nights. But have you ever hear that old saying about a ' woman's scorn'?? Plus, I prefer getting a hot supper... DM

LOL on the crayons :D

LOL. What all those guys said. Looking forward to pics. That should be a fun Buck.

Thanks Sutter. I'll get some photos up as soon as the press release goes thru the proper channels. DM

Wow Dave…very nicely done!! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
Can't wait to see how it turns out when your wife adds her touch to the scales.

Thanks for posting the "work in progress" photos.

Stumps, thank you and your welcome. She did come out to walk the dogs and her normal exercise and seemed in good spirits so I'm thinking its going well. More later. DM

Looks great, the simplicity and classic lines really show with the changes you did to it. I wish I was that talented. Looking forward to seeing the end result but looks awesome just the way it is..

German, thank you. My wife said the same thing when I first brought it to her engraving room. When I finished it I was shocked too as I didn't consider a 112 to be so classy. Still, her scrimshaw is what was ordered and my work is to get the knife in condition for her to work. So, I work my part then she can do hers. We are a team. DM

That's pretty neat how you and your wife work together like that. Keep up the great work. I'm thinking of getting a stock 112 and neat to see that this model can be very classy. Not that it looks bad the way it is but with your mods it has all the potential in the world and sure when your wife is done with her part it will be stunning.
