Greetings All, For your consideration is this Steingass modified Loveless style dropped hunter in CPM Magnacut/Exhibition Grade Bastogne Walnut. The stabilized Bastogne walnut has beautiful crotch flame figure on both sides, with cherry red G-10 liners on the tapered tang. The hollow ground Maganacut blade has a hand rubbed 800 grit satin finish. The handle is all Loveless style whereas the difference is the blade. The bottom of the ricasso is flat rather than round, the cutting edge drops below the ricasso 1/16" to preserve the blade profile after repeated sharpening, there are thumb serrations on the spine, and finally, the blade has a bit less belly than the original Loveless Dropped Hunter.. The solder joint is perfectly executed with no pinholes. The Loveless style sheath incorporates a cam to retain the knife securely. I hope you like it!
