Mom is in the hospital- Prayers requested...

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I know all too well what you are going through-having lost several family members and my mother in law is now in a hospice-where we are waiting by her side day/night as she arduously passes from this life to whatever might be next-if anything at all. I truly hope your mother makes a full recovery. Treat each day as if it were your last.

Chris,
prayers, best wishes and thoughts from the bottom of the planet.
I hope your mom recovers quickly and painlessly

All the best
Steven

Smoke and prayers Chris. Sounds like you're decended from a line of tough broads. Hopefully the threat of grandma kicking her butt will encourage her to stop smoking, otherwise it sounds like she's in competent hands and is well attended by loving family. Her being in good spirits and attending to others as best she can is a good sign.

Hopefully, that other kidney will stay working. If not, then dialysis is workable option, albeit not a final treatment.

My father is 72, and got a kidney transplant last Nov., so you see, there is always hope no matter what gets thrown at you.

Your mother sounds like a fighter. I'll be thinking about both of you and praying for good things.

Prayers from San Diego for Carolyn.

Thanks everyone. Yesterday was rough, but today her spirits were much higher. Tomorrow, a stint will be put in to help make her kidney drain. Hopefully there will be enough function in this one. I appreciate all the prayers, well wishes and concern. Hopefully tomorrow will bring good news. Whittier Presbyterian is a good hospital.

Prayers up for Carolyn, yourself and your dad. God bless and give you all strength.

Thanks guys. I have good news. The stint is now draining in the one functioning kidney, so this is progress. So far, no cancer found in it, but there are more results coming. Once again, thanks for your prayers, thoughts, and well wishes.

Good news to hear Chris!

Good to hear Chris. Prayers still going up.

Good to hear, Chris!
Do please keep us up to date.
More prayer from San Diego.

I feel for you, bro. Just lostmy dad a few weeks ago. Freak heart attack. Helped me assemble trampoline for my sons bday one afternoon, passed that night after 3 different hospitals. Its very hard and hope for the best for you. He was only 65.

Sorry to hear that Brad. It is tough seeing my dad with a semi broken spirit. He has always been a John Wayne type of dad. He is tough as nails, but gentle at the same time. I still have never really seen him cry, but my sis told me today that they cried together for a spell, more in relief than sadness. I guess it is always best to let your emotions out, holding them in does not help. I am going to spend some time with her on Saturday.

I'm sorry to hear about what your mom is going through Chris.

Its always a big help to get some positive news. Sometimes I think things like this are harder for the family members and friends, than it is for the person dealing with the problem...

Smoke goin up for your mom, you, and your other family members
