I think this forum serves a great service in warning members of people who seek to rip us off. (Ted Wood, Ted Wood, Ted Wood...) Some people are just plain criminals who can get away with their crimes because the people they rip off do not complain. They are free to do it again and again.
At least this forum gives us a heads up and raises a flag when dealing with certain people. I can tell you first hand that most of the established ways of dealing with a bad trade through the mails do not work. (Attorney General complaint, Postal fraud complaint, BBB, etc.)
As far as $15, $150 or $1500, I don't see a difference. A bad deal is a bad deal, and a crime is a crime.
Misery loves company and I admit that I would rather read a post about a deal gone bad than a post after post along the line of ... What a great deal! I made a great deal with (fill in the members name here), I sent him money and he sent me the knife!!" The deals gone wrong are just better reading, and I would like to know who NOT to deal with.
