mamba what a clever repartee. with some of the latest gec issues i'm beginning to believe you are correct. dymondwood, inlays & gold glitter takes me back to woolsworth & kress five & dime stores.--dennis
 
Hey, Dennis, I got my first rifle, a Ruger 10/22 at a Woolworths in 1969 (real walnut and $55, no less!); can't be all bad. ;)

Why GEC didn't just put the diamond inlays in the dymondwood, I'll never know, instead of muckin' up the snakewood and bocote! :barf:
