Here we have an 11" long forged to shape damascus San-Mai blade. There are approx 500 layers of 1084/1095/15n20 on each side of a core of 0-1, which was laddered after welding. It measures 1/4" at the guard and has a nice forged distal taper. The blade is handsanded and polished, which is striking in person, but hard to capture well with my meager photography skills.
The forged guard is of the same blade material, and spacers are of approx 20 layer twist of 1084/15N20, with super thin stainless spacers between them.
The handle is from a young moose crown antler, and is very comfy. Handles very nice for such a large blade. Balance is just ahead of the guard.
Comes with a 10oz leather sheath.
More pics upon request. Price $400 plus shipping. (need money to pay for that nice variable speed motor on it's way to me!)
