  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Moose?????????

Wish I was still out east, I love Tennessee and Kentucky. Southern girls, food, hot weather, girls....

I was born & raised in Milwaukee. Parents owned a bar when I was 5, BTW that's when I had my first beer, and when I move to the country don't you know it happens to be a dry county...for real. You can only buy beer in a half dozen places. So I been making my own (on & off) for 15 years. I do enjoy making a batch for a special occasion though - Becker Brew. Sounds good. Blood Red Becker Ale. Guess I'll have to get on that. Make wine and mead too. Trade for a Becker

And the outhouse is downrange, the wrong timing could literally be "holy crap"!

So, getting back to topic, any ideas on dates Moose?

We have been kicking around some dates and ideas for the Spring Gathering. With SHOT next week, I'll be honest, we've kinda been occupied elsewhere.

BUT, here is what I will promise. I will have a solid date for the Spring Gathering either by the end of this week, or next week.

It will probably be in late April, or early May. I'm thinking early May, since I attend the ESEE Woodland class in late April. Don't want any schedule conflicts, and Ethan always does PWYP at Terrill's place in April too. I was told I'm goning to PWYP this year, but I don't think I can get the time off from work. Might go for the weekend, though.

ANYWAY, we will be doing the Friday, Saturday, Sunday Gathering style, like last time. With a Knife Rodeo, some skills classes, good food, tons of booze, and some guns.

I'll let ya'll know whats going on, as soon as I know.

Appreciate that Moose. Getting the date down now will make it a lot easier for many of us to request off for it.

Ok, just got off the phone with E, and here is what we got.

May 11, 12, 13

Are the dates for the Gathering. He also wants to know, what events, skills, and whatnot ya'll wanna do this time. I'll take it from there.

So, for those that haven't been, check the past threads we've done on what we've done in the past. For those that have been, let us know what you wanna do this time.

Start posting them here. I'll take it from there.

How about a good old fashioned drinking competition?

In all seriousness, the knife rodeo was a lot of fun. Would love to get another crack at that. Would love to spend some more time with Ethan in the shop, I know a lot of people would be interested in hearing some of the history behind BK&T that were not at the first gathering, and seeing Ethan messing with stuff in the shop would be a cool thing for a lot of people to see too. And definitely some of that chili, that stuff was too good. ;)
