  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Moose?????????

first you buy it, then you file the $200 tax stamp, and then you wait, unless of course, you've discovered a federal loophole i don't know about ;)

a vested manufacturing loan, or a trust that can loan, maybe :)

i've been considering a suppressor for my .22LR for a while... $500-800 for the unit (depending on how versatile i want), $200 for the tax stamp, $$$ for a lawyer to execute a trust if i want to go that route, and lots of waiting :>

It counts as a single shot. No tax stamp necessary in TN. :D

i'm having disbelief still. tax stamp is a federal requirement for the suppressor, the firearm is not considered. afaik :)

now, some states can say "we allow or do not allow even with a tax stamp" but they can't waive that. afaik.

also, bazookas don't tend to be very loud, and are often sub-sonic anyway... it's the BOOM that isn't later.

huge doubts ;)

Bladite The one I brought to the gathering took a total of 102 days to get mine. 12 days to get to TN from dealer to class 3 dealer here then one day to get my paperwork signed and sent. Feds took 89 days to make up their minds about letting me have it. Then the magical call to come and pick it up. I can't remember how much you shot it, but you know that it is so worth the wait.

I will have it at the next gathering if you need some more prodding on getting one for your self.

got a couple Title II/Class 3 dealers nearby... esp one that will be having a grand re-opening with an indoor range/machine guns/etc...

contemplating one... i just need to get the end all be all .2xx caliber for my various toys, and probably have to swap out a few end bits to make it all interchangeable. the sad part, is that it would be more useful on the larger calibers, so i dunno... oh, and of course, my .22WMR pistol is going to have a threaded barrel option soon - THAT would like a suppresor just fine :>

i figure about $500-700 for the suppresor. mmm. i should save towards a house first?

didn't end up shooting at all at the Gathering, i shoot a LOT at home, and have used suppressors before, with machine guns even :) fun.

good toys, definitely, will just require some research i think to get the best mix.

Ok, just got off the phone with E, and here is what we got.

May 11, 12, 13

Are the dates for the Gathering. He also wants to know, what events, skills, and whatnot ya'll wanna do this time. I'll take it from there.

So, for those that haven't been, check the past threads we've done on what we've done in the past. For those that have been, let us know what you wanna do this time.

Start posting them here. I'll take it from there.

Sorry fellas however I will not be able to attend this gathering... :(

May 13th happens to be my anniversary and coincidentally is Mother's Day this year.

Yeah, we might be changing this a little. I gotta talk to E about it. Since we basically picked the dates based on PWYP and the ESEE Woodland course, we'll see what happens. Stay tuned kiddies.

Anyone already put in for time off or booked flights yet?

Bad dates? My time off is flexible, I can change it, just lemme know.

Thanks Murph, will do. We definetly want you back, and hopefully, if things go well, I'll have my new rifle for you to play with.
