Very lightweight setup! Nice stuff. Wasn't trying to suggest you didn't have it covered, just curious what your chosen means were.

Thanks Spooky. I am always looking to see what other people are using too! Simplicity and multi-use is my style of outdoor travel.

Everyone feel free to post your "Mora based" kits!

This is what i carry.

I still carry stuff in a back pack or buttpack that I made into a shoulder bag. Sometimes I even switch between the original sheath that I use for a neck setup and the leather one above.

Nice. I have that picture saved to my computer from another post. How do you like that sheath? I wonder if it will fit a #2 Mora. How does it fit the 510?
Thanks for sharing.

Bearthedog: I like the sheath alot better. I have 3 of the mora knives. The 510, 780, and clipper. The clipper and 510 fit perfectly. The 780 won't without modification of the guard.
I would get the leather sheath if you carry the Clipper or 510 on your belt.

Nick-Nack: Nope. It's a really bright white led that I got from a certain company. ( I can't mention it, so I don't get into trouble)

@GEC: If you take the dogbone and "sharpen" the spine on the knife (like an ice skate) you can throw away that pathetic scraper for the firesteel. It only eats up the steel and does not make lots of sparks. It also makes it easier to scrape tinder from wood and such.
If you look at a Fallkniven you understand what I mean.
If you dont want to use the knife, then take a piece of metal saw blade instead.

I like the scraper that came with my firesteel, remember it has a right and wrong side to it. I tried a few things witht the lights out and the original won hands down. (upside down and you may as well use a plastic spoon)

Here is a small one that I used to keep as my primary. It was not all-inclusive, there are other things I had on my person.

Now I pretty much carry only the 510, and I spread things out a bit. In one pocket is a Vic Farmer with firesteel, in the other is a small match case with a mini-LED. Canteen with cup is on my belt, and I've usually got my 'big kit', which I've shown lots of pictures of by now.
