Mora Dayhike/Surviaval Kit

Here is a small one that I used to keep as my primary. It was not all-inclusive, there are other things I had on my person.

I've been wanting one of those stick sharpeners for a while but haven't seen any around. Where did you buy yours?

The firesteel in that pic has been used alot. I'm going to replace it with the bigger army one after Christmas. That one has a carbon saw blade waiting for it. As for the original scrapper for the firesteel. It doesn't work all that bad. Sometime I just used the other side without the teeth to spark a fire.

agreed, they actually work pretty good, but I never use the teeth part as that wastes a lot of ferro material.

That's the lansky model, I believe I got it at campingsurvival.com . Ragnar sells rods of different sizes for dirt cheap, his is the one I'm currently using the most. www.ragweedforge.com
Thanks!
Actually i frequently surf Ragnars site but i never noticed the sharpeners before!
I'll definitely add some to my order along with the few Moras i have picked out and the Frosts and Helle Blade blanks and the... etc etc.
lol.

Yes I am going back with Mike Perrin and Jeff Randall in april. Let me just say that the new RAT-4 is going to be the best 4" knife around. I can't wait.
