Your opinions, experiences, everything you want to share about Swedish Mora knives?

If there is already a thread about it, please drop me a link. I was not able to find any.

Man, I love Moras. My first knives were all moras, I have had a zillion.

I only have experience with the wooden-handled ones. But they have all been great.

Have a look at this thread:

Completely contrary to every fiber in my body I pounded a cheap mora through many feet of lead pipe using a SLEDGEHAMMER for a baton!

It was fine afterward.

They are great knives.

I think they are decent knives for the $$. I think that they will perform most of the tasks you would ask of a knife really well. I like the 780 Triflex...

About Clipper, I heard that Mora makes the same knife for Bahco under name 2444, is that true?

not quite sure about that but im sure someone on the forums here wil be able to answer that for you :)

I really like mine! They sure are inexpensive, and good;)
I want to get a 510 and a couple more wood handled ones to mod.

Hmmmm I have yet to own one. I like 'em though, based on the price and what they can do. Just haven't gotten one....yet. (Actually, I am terrified to get one due to the possibility of my already ridiculous knife addiciton running amuck).

hard to find a better knife at that price...They won't win any beauty contests but they are great working knives.

It is because of you I can safely say, that, yes, they are great cutting tools.

Got the Clipper for XMas and I love it. Only own 2, but they are both great knives.

Put this together so carry the Mora 510 and the Vic Farmer. Hard pair to beat for the money. For any money for that amount of money.

udtjim,

Your right on the money with that combo, just ad a Fiskers hatchet or a decent machete and you've got all the bases covered (for under 50 bucks!)
