Mora knives

I love mine! I also have RescueRiley to thank for my Mora introduction. I got the blade for the top one from him in his xmass giveaway.

I kind of want to get one of the partial-tang Moras and try the traditional "stand on the handle" test some time.

I just got my first one, a Mora 2000, in a trade. Am SUPER impressed and happy with it! Get SEVERAL!

OK, got a Mora Clipper disguised as Bahco 2444 today and so far I'm impressed. Knife shaves with ease, handle is great and I love that ridiculous orange sheath. It would very likely give my position away when I'm sneaking upon an unexpecting zombie to perform a commando kill, but since the chances are that I will be more often trying to locate the knife in darkness when camping somewhere than perform sneak kills I guess it's not a big deal. :)

I have a clipper in red, and the tri flex. They are the best $22 purchase I have ever made. Get crazy sharp and no guilt when you beat 'im.

:thumbup: Differential temper and its handle and blade are bigger for those of us with big hand. Also has a lanyard hole and is easy to sharpen, as are most Scandi grinds. Tuff, tuff knife for the money!--KV

My opinion of a Mora is the same as an Opinel. Nothing. Can only be bought on the internet. I want to check them out before purchasing.

Why in particular? I just jumped on a model that seemed well-regarded on the forums and it was a minimal investment. I love it, and I'm glad I bought it. If I didn't like it I know plenty of folks who could have used it. Give 'em a shot!

This is an unpopular opinion but I bought my first Mora and was no impressed at all. The edge rolled twice, and then chipped. Some of the helpful members here instructed me that you have to remove a good 1/16th of edge before you get to the hard steel on SOME Moras... I've yet to do this so I can't speak to it's ability after this is done... but even though it was cheap and it doesn't really hurt me all that much to have a knife that cheap dissapoint me... I wish I had known that before buying one... in which case I wouldn't have. Hope yours works out for you if you get one.

Due to the truly massive volume of the things they put out it's not too surprising to me that lemons pop up. However, if your willing to overlook that, they're super inexpensive, extremely durable for their class, and cut like lasers. They're not for everyone, but they're solid users that represent a phenomenal value.

I've always like this picture. It can give you a "look inside" on the different models.;)

I like Erikssons Moras more.

Just for the money every knife collector has to have one!
