Hey guys just ordered my first mora this morning I got the capanion in carbon. I can't wait to get it should be here for the first trip to deer camp. So down there I'll be able to really run it through the grinder to really test it out.

They are truly great knives,, check out Virtuvice on youtube, he has a great video of him using a Mora on deer..

Try the stainless one next. I've come to prefer the 12C27 to carbon. Behaves like good carbon with none of the headaches.

Congrats.

My Mora Companion HD is my main house & garden fixed blade. I've got bigger badder field/camp/hunt/trail knives but I doubt I would have bothered if I had gotten the Mora first.

I agree with that 100% !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great knife. Pretty hefty. However, this last Saturday I broke the tip off within the first 5 minutes of use while prying a small piece of hardwood.

Afterwards. I continued to pummel it by batonning a TON of wood

right on tips are over rated anyway lol jk. im going to beat the hell outta this thing so i cant wait

Great choice. I prefer my no 1 for most things, but for field dressing the rubber handle of the Companion offers a better grip when covered in fat and blood.

Moras are rather addicting. I do think you need a classic 1 in addition to the Companion.

I love mine. I have two, along with plans for a Robust to complement the two Companions. They're seriously the best $14 that I've spent on pretty much anything.

No matter where I go this knife seems to always be there.
Cleaning fish skinning a buck or opening a letter the Mora
is always are hand. I don't know about the stainless,
but this carbon blade holds an edge better then any buck I've
ever had.

My carbon steel moras have outlasted my stainless moras considerably in edge holding and edge durability

I was carrying one of mine today, in fact - Companion in carbon steel. Best $14 I ever spent (so, of course, I ended up buying like 10 of them!):
